Are multiplayer trophies still possible to get in gta IV on ps3?

Recommended Posts

Hey.

I have been trying to platinum all gta games. I'm done with gta 3 , gta 5 and san andreas and now I wanted to try getting gta 4 platinum ,but looking at the trophy guide I am wondering if it's even possible? There are a lot of multiplayer trophies including speedrun ones which I've heard are very hard and this game probably doesn't have many players left to help me. So should I even start trying or just give up?

Thanks

They are all possible to get, I did it a couple of months ago, you just need to find people to boost with because it's next to impossible if you play alone. I would suggest you to check PSNProfiles, there's a very detailed guide there and you can find boosting sessions.

You'll need at least 3 more people for team modes, Car Jack City and the Teamplayer trophy, the rest can be done with just one partner. Although doing the co-op missions under the time limit (Fly the Co-op) can be extremely challenging with a team of 2 players. Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic is by far the worst trophy to get because you have no way of checking your progress, so again I highly suggest reading the full multiplayer trophy guide over here before starting: https://psnprofiles.com/guide/3606-grand-theft-auto-iv-multiplayer-trophy-guide

That's a good help but the players from the community you linked to won't help with trophies anymore. The community aims for real enthusiasts who play regularly and stick with multiplayer games for fun.

Trophy hunters only aim for their digital trophies and then vanish after they get their little trophies with unearned wins, they don't even have fun in the process.

So that's why we stopped helping people interested only in trophies, years ago.

You can still join games and have fun with the guys and perhaps get a few trophies but don't expect anyone to let you win a race or something because that would be selfish.

Yeah you have a very valid point, I just edited my answer. I saw a few comments of people looking to get trophies and so I thought that it would have been a good idea sharing it, but you're absolutely right here... Unlike GTA V, GTA IV basically requires you to not enjoy the multiplayer aspect if all you care about is trophies and, when you're done with them, you're like "Ah, finally this is over".

PSNProfiles is definitely the better choice if you're a trophy hunter :)

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for your advice. I got the trophies thanks to some people from PSNProfiles in August, and we helped each other out. I really like GTA 4 (singleplayer is great, the story was better written than I remembered, even the mundane tasks were a lot of fun, except the pigeons) but I'm not gonna pretend I enjoyed those multiplayer tasks haha. Thank you for the help! :)

You're welcome, happy to hear you got them all!

The multiplayer trophies are probably the worst that I've ever seen (Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic in particular), but once you get them the sense of accomplishment is quite strong haha :D

Yeah Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic was extremely tedious, but it wasn't that hard, just time consuming. I was having a harder time with the Wanted trophy. I hope to god there isn't anything like it in GTA 6 haha

For anyone seeking this trophy, there's no point nowadays grinding Rank 10 when there are so many modders around who can spawn a bunch of cash in a DM/GTA Race and get you max rank within 5 minutes. Nobody gets banned for this, especially if you are just a recipient and not the modder (but even if you mod, I've never heard of someone getting banned for this). 90% of freemode lobbys have at least one modder, they're not hard to find, but ask politely and don't nag people.
