Probably not as everything else in the project can be disabled. But what features break your game? Is it because of Liberty Tweaks or just cuz of your game?

Nevermind my silly request, I found the bug! After turning everything off in the settings, turns out that if "[Improved AI]" is enabled, the weapon bullet spread of the player becomes random, like the video I posted a few pages back. BUT ONLY if you play with a controller, if you use mouse aim the issue does not appear and the bullet spread is normal. I love this mod and the Improved AI feature is essential imo. Sadly, with this bug I must say that the mod is not controller friendly, that might be why you didn't encounter this issue on one of your past replies.

 

One weird thing is that if you use "Bullet Spread/Recoil Fix v1.1" by jenksta, an .asi mod, the random bullet spread issue appears when using mouse aim and also controller. And take a look what the author says in the mod!

 Basically in IV's CWeapon::Fire function there's a call to a CWeapon::CalculateShotTargetAccuracy which calculates the target offset for the weapon shot (based on the peds weapon accuracy multiplier, current anim, e.t.c.), in this function there's a check for player peds (only applies if you they don't have a target entity (auto aim)) which checks a flag in the games control pad structure (set if theres any buttons pressed on the controller), if not using the controller the inaccuracy multiplier used is 0.1, however when using a controller the multiplier is set to 0.6." This script tells the game to use the controller accuracy (bullet spread/recoil) even when you're using a mouse basically.

I don't know much about scripting but I find interesting that this mod uses the peds weapon accuracy and checks a flag in the control pad structure, creating a fake recoil/bullet spread. Perhaps that's why in Liberty Tweaks the random bullet spread appears only on controllers and not with mouse aim? It might have something to do with this same feature, Improved AI and how the mod manages the ped weapon accuracy.

 

Anyways, for the moment, I must say that Liberty Tweaks works amazing if you use m+kb but unless you turn off Improved AI, this mod is not fully compatible with a controller. I hope you might fix it in the future, great mod!

Try this. I still don't notice it too much so it would be nice if you could let me know.

I wish I could try 1.4 bro, however when I download the IVSDKDotNetWrapper.dll 1.2 version Windows Defender detect it as a virus. "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml"

I reckon you should just make an exception.

 

But I just realized this fixed an issue I was having myself.

Before, the sniper would be incredibly inaccurate. I figured it was because I just change the weapon slot to an unused one, but now it's accurate. Hooray

I agree, once you get used to it, the firefights become way more chaotic and unpredictable. The bad thing is that if you use a rifle or sniper for taking down an helicopter pilot for example it's impossible, this issue makes the sniper rifle practically useless and unreliable

Ensure that IV SDK .NET & Clonk's Coding Library are up-to-date then use the IV SDK .NET dependency on the main page (it's an early version of 1.2)

I already tested it a couple of times and definetely the new IV SDK.NET .dll, downloaded from Liberty Tweaks / Dependencies page, causes my game to not launch anymore. Once I restore the .dll from 1.1 my game launch just fine (but showing errors if I have Liberty Tweaks 1.4). I'm positive that Clonk's Coding Library is up-to-date (1.4) and I'm using Liberty Tweaks 1.4, it seems the IV SDK.NET .dll 1.2 is the problem. I don't see the "early 1.2" of IV SDK.NET on his GitHub page, perhaps it's not ready yet? Wouldn't be better if Liberty Tweaks 1.4 uses the dependencies of IV SDK.NET 1.1?

if you're using 1.4 ensure you grab the latest iv sdk .net from the dependencies page on the main liberty tweaks github, otherwise it's something on your end

⚠️ LibertyTweaks will now require IV SDK .NET 1.2 ⚠️
1.2 is currently unreleased, however you can get early access here

 

 

New Features

  • Immersive Recoil - The camera shakes upon firing most guns. It's easily configurable per weapon category, the amount of shake is randomized between set values.
  • Buff SWAT - The player can no longer headshot or ragdoll NOoSE until they’ve run out of armor. 
  • Armored Cops Have Vests - Cops now have visible vests when equipped with armor. Special thanks to GQComms for providing an armor model. 
  • Autosaves on Collectibles - The game saves when grabbing collectibles such as stunt jumps, pigeons, & seagulls. Credit goes to Gillian for this feature. 
  • Realistic Reloading - When reloading, the ammunition left in the magazine is properly removed. This does not occur when in vehicles.
  • Quick-saving Saves Your Location - When the game auto-saves, or you utilize the quick-save feature, it will now save your location. Saves that occur whilst in a vehicle will not save said vehicle. 
  • Loading Fade-In - The game will now fade-in when you first load in.
  • Unused Hospital Respawn - An unused hospital respawn point has been added.
  • Cop Shotgun Tweak - Cops will now use the combat shotgun instead of the pump. Respective of the combat shotgun spawn in police cruisers.
  • No Cursor Escape Fix - The mouse cursor won't move to another monitor if in-game. 

Misc

  • Added a range check for Armored Cops, ensuring they won't be given armor mid-fight.
  • Fat cops no longer will be given armor.
  • You will no longer become wanted when using your cell phone.
  • The Unholstered Wanted Fix has been given a delay. 
  • Combat lines in Improved Dialogue are now rarer.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn’t disable Armored Cops.
  • Fixed an accuracy bug related to Improved AI.
  • Fixed a couple crashes.
  • The shotgun shell is no longer a pool ball. Special thanks to Claudio for providing a fixed model.

hi catsmackaroo i tried the LibertyTweaks v1.4 update in my gta iv and it is seems to not work in my game for some reason, and when that happened i tried to switch back to LibertyTweaks v1.3 and everything works, i use GTA IV patch 1.0.7.0.

For some reason my game becomes corruped when I use this new release, (Yes, I used IV SDK .NET 1.2 dll) weapon pickups are swapped (Combat shotgun where the UZI was on Booth Tunnel, Poolstick ??? where the grenades are in Star Junction) and vehicles are also swapped, on my garage I had a blista compact and it turned into a truck. Pigeon are also swapped with some random wall model. At first I thought my savegame was corrupted, however when I uninstalled everything IV SDK, Clonks library and Liberty Tweaks 1.4 my games is back to normal, meaning that is the mod that's wrong, not my savegame.

Can you add a load game menu for the main menu where you can select your desired save from the save menu instead of having to load your last saved game through the start game option  and also easily delete saves in the menu like in the 3D Era GTA games?
