The model used for them are actually just the pool balls you find in the game lol. They're just temporary, but further support for that part of the mod is still planned.

It's a part of the script. The project is open-source so you can check it out if you want to learn the specifics.

If you want to change the FOV, just edit the .ini with this project. Unless you mean on your own.

Improved Police System

  • If your weapons are equipped with police nearby, you will become wanted.
  • Having a higher wanted level will result in the police spawning with armor. (4 stars by default.)
  • Being unseen by police for long durations will slowly reduce your wanted level. (1-2 minutes by default.)

Miscellaneous

  • The player's health will now regenerate when low on health up to about 25%. (Occurs 30 secs to 1 min by default)
    For clarification, this only happens when the health bar is flashing red. This might be configurable in the future. 

I also wanted to make the "remove weapons on death" feature less extreme, but I currently have no clue how. I was thinking some bribing mechanic, but I don't want this mod to become too intrusive.

AngryMeatPie is right, it shouldn't have any crashes. Just no visible magazines (yet)

I forgot to mention I also have some added weapons beyond EFLC stuff. I'm using a mod that merges episodic content into the base game, and also adds some stuff too. Either way I disabled the magazine feature because I wanted to keep all other features of this mod.

This sounds awesome. How about players lose just 2 or 3 random weapons instead as if they've been dropped rather than confiscated (maybe even dropping from Niko's body upon death). The VCS bribing system would be impressive if you could make it feel IV-style. Or remove all guns upon death but keep melee weapon to encourage players to use them in missions more.

How about having them be dropped when the player is killed and they have the option to go back to where they died and pick them up, or having them spawn at the nearest police station as pickups?

 

I'm suprised that i haven't commented on this since this should be/is one of the most essential GTA 4 mods! Here's some minor things I hope you might consider for the mod:

  • Manual Engine Starter:
    - Optional/Disabed by default, press a hotkey to turn on and off the vehicle engine.
  • Improved Dialouge Bodyguard Banter:
    - I'm not sure if this is already apart of the mod but I've always found it awkward when I have a bodyguard (mission or spawned in) and they just say nothing, especially when driving. Would it be possible to have some dialouge play every once in a while? I'm not sure what lines would be used (I can only think of the phone lines for regular NPCS) or how you would code this to work with friends, story characters and generic peds.
  • Impound:
    - Simillar to how it is in V and San Andreas (but not broken) Where if you get killed or busted (and maybe if it despawns like how some a missions do that?) Your vehicle will be at the nearest police station and you can steal it to get it back.
  • Rob ATMs:
    - Shoot at an ATM and some money come out
  • More Scenarios/Story Characters in Free Mode
    - This probably wouldn't fit with this mod but I remember I think someone suggesting something simillar for Rob's Liberty Rush where you can see like Little jacob hanging out and the Homebrew Cafe. It would be cool to see like the Lost MC riding around in formation and having a shootout or a car chase, re-using mission animations and such. This should probably be a mod of it's own and the coding would be a pain but maybe this will spark some ideas for Lirbety Tweaks.

 

Once again, fantastic mod and I can't wait to see what else is to come!

In Terms of Realism it would probably the best to have a system in which small weapons (Glock, Deagle, Baseball bat, knife, Uzi) could be bought back (maybe even depending on what crime you committed with them), but all other weapons are not.

To complement that system another thing could be added alongside, if you get arrested or shot dead the closest gun store gets shutdown for a few in game days (the owner is hiding, so the guns used by the player can't be backtraced to him).

the thing u said about bringing back the weapons doesn't make sense but the ammunition being locked up is a cool thing , would be a addition to realism

New Features

  • Armored Cops - Having a higher wanted level will result in the police spawning with armor. (4 stars by default.)

  • Unholstered Wanted Fix - If your weapons are equipped with police nearby, you will become wanted.
  • Health Regeneration - The player's health will now regenerate when flashing red. (Ticks 30 secs to 1 min by default)
  • Toggle HUD - Press a key to disable main HUD elements.
  • Vehicles Breakdown on Fire - Stops engines of vehicles that are on fire.

Misc

  • Quick-saving has been given a new option. You can basically choose between selecting your saves, or performing an auto-save.

I have a feature idea for the next version:

Foreign Subtitles Always On - Always keeps the foreign subtitles on the screen, which are grey compared to the white regular subtitles, regardless of whether the subtitle option is turned on or off.

Would it be possible for the mod to have a trainer-like menu where we can configure features more easily and make way for 1 last feature suggestion for users with a 100% save game?

Dynamic Story Changes Settings - An expanded version of the enable/revert Roman's Sorrow/Get Lost function of ZTrainer, but it is expanded to include other story events in both IV and TLAD, like the ability to reenable Michelle/Karen (IV), Kate (IV) and Jim (TLAD) to hang out with after the respective missions, "The Snow Storm", "That Special Someone" and "Was It Worth It?". It also has the ability that if you choose the Deal ending, you bring Roman back as a friend.

I don't think I'll do that last one, mostly because I don't know how, but also because I don't think it fits this project to begin with.

Another cool feature would be adding some slight recoil to some weapons. Preferably the heavier ones.  Something similar to vanilla V would be nice.

Considering most other mods that do it, no longer work how they should...

By the way with IV SDK .NET 1.0 you can type manager into the console and it'll open a new menu. Or press CTRL+F10. This screen allows for you to do a lot of things but here you can also configure some settings for any script. You can't disable anything on the spot, but you can configure certain settings at least

Thanks for the update, cats🔥🔥 Especially the unholstered weapons fix feature, now it's essential to keep your gun hidden and you don't want to walk around with it, which makes sense. Also I like that it's lore friendly, since gun trade is under control in LC.

Probably you seen Ragdoll mod where player once shot, for a second will get stunned. Surely that one not for all, but I had idea that such thing could be expanded a bit - when player is driving car, and gets shot, this could lead to losing car controls for a bit.

Iirc, the mod you mentioned has an option which makes player accelerate uncontrollably when shot and it can be configured

yes this is already a thing.  But I believe this particular mod  with the driving feature you mentioned needs scripthook.net

Do IV-SDK and scripthook work together?
Just tried out deadly wrecks, the mod seems to work, but I have no rain bug usually caused by scripthook and the crashes deal no damage when using a seatbelt which looks as if scripthook works only partially (still have the seatbelt icon).
