I check if the vehicle you're in is a mission vehicle, so maybe the vehicle you were in was apart of the mission somehow? 

As for it not showing up anymore, it may be a bug. Perhaps a fault in the code where I check the player's stats (more specifically, story progressed)

I'll see if I can figure this out. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

It would help if you could supply more info, however. What mission are you on, which car was it, and did the blip stop showing up after reloading?

Hello, thank you cats for the awesome work.

The mod works but I cannot make the personal vehicle feature work in any way, I am not even sure how to activate it since the only reference to an hotkey is in your showcase video (f9) and there is no configurable hotkey in the settings

I did try a workaround, which is just by making them wait after doing the fear anim, but I guess that doesn't seem to work. I think your idea makes more sense anyway. I'll work on that, thanks

The key is in the .ini file, which by default is "E" (search Tracker Key in the .ini)

then it doesn't work either, since pressing E while in a vehicle doesn't trigger anything :( it is a clean save, first mission, no other scripts. in the other save I did get a random blip in the map when loading the old game, but other than that nothing at all.

anyway, if I may, there was a script used to make a personal vehicle that used to work nicely in older versions, now it is kinda clunky. maybe you can get some ideas from it.

"First mission" is the root of your problems. Car tracking service is available when Pay'n'spray is also unlocked.

Should be able to. Latest FusionFix works with downgraded copies still, I think.

It would be compatible, but IV SDK .NET isn't compatible with the latest update. Not sure when it'll happen, but either way like I said previously you can install FusionFix in downgraded copies, thus using both mods:

And the ultimate and definitive fix: The Gravity.

But the general one, for the entire world / engine, not only for vehicles or some things but not for others... This game has the gravity altered in a bad way, worst than the ancient "3D Era" games, which have a gravity value of "0.800" . 

In this case (IV-EFLC), the value are probably around "0.600 - 0.700" .

Not sure about GTA V but I have the impression that it uses the real life gravity value, which is "0.980".

Same logic applies to this game, we need the same ammount of gravity, or at least, an approximated value, like "1.000" or "0.950" .

Maybe one day, who knows... I put my faith on magicians like you :D

i already tried but it doesnt seem to work for me im kinda noob on this of gta 4 modding

Hey! Appreciate any help on this. I'm attempting to install on SteamDeck (just in case that is the problem) but with so many versions floating around I'm struggling to find those which match. 

 

Currently tried different combos of Liberty Fix latest and last version, along with the prerequisites but being met with a black screen at launch each time. Removing these mod files and the game works once more. 

 

Any tips on which version of each prerequisite works? Thanks!

Nope, never used 1.4. I downloaded this mod after finding it from the "1 Mod to Improve GTA IV in Many Ways" video which got recommended to me. That video linked me to 1.5 so I never downloaded previous versions.

 

As I said before, in both TLAD and the main story this save error never occurred in my 30+ hours playing both their stories and most side content. This issue is seemingly only present in TBoGT specifically.

 

EDIT: If possible try to implement controller support for this amazing mod.

I've been experimenting a bit and I honestly have no clue what's going on. I've also never heard of this issue before. The mod itself doesn't directly interfere with any of the save data, it just creates its own.

Furthermore, I added EFLC magazines, of which TBoGT was given special models/textures. However, the special stuff is loaded across each version of the game currently. Yet, I can only assume that's the related cause. But even in the most extreme cases, save corruption related to that will just mess up some objects in the world. The damage is also usually reversible.

Maybe try disabling gun magazines and see if you can recreate the issue? If you end up having more information about it, I'd like to hear it, but for now I can't do anything as I can't replicate it quite yet

 

On a side note, sorry for the inconvenience. I would recommend using the IV Savegames Arena if you want some of your progress back once the issue is resolved. The download page is on some funky sh*t but as long as you have uBlock Origin or something, should be good

Some controller support is existent, but it definitely needs to be more across the board. It's planned for the next update 🙏

💥New Update - Changelog💥 

 

Liberty Tweaks has been updated to IV SDK .NET 1.7 and Clonk's Coding Library 1.9. Links for these will be below.

 

This update overhauls Liberty Tweaks with optimizations and additions to make the project feel more complete. The other goal is to heavily increase the game's difficulty in various ways, encouraging the player to play more intentionally.

There are also personal vehicles now.

New Features

  • Personal Vehicles - Adds Tracker Services at Pay'N'Sprays and Stevie's, when they are unlocked. This saves and tracks vehicles with a blip. These vehicles don't despawn unless destroyed, in which case they're gone forever.
  • Peds Lock Car Doors - Now most peds driving around have their cars locked.
  • Dynamic Field of View - Field of View changes depending on the player's circumstances.
  • Extended Ped Weapon Pool - Allows you to configure ped weapons depending on area, episode, ped model, & chance percentage.
  • Armor Still Hurts - When your armor is 50% and you take damage via a strong enough weapon, it will still hurt your actual health. This way, armor is not just another health bar. It's damage reduction.
  • Increased Health Damage - Most health damage to the player gives additional damage. (0-5% remaining health by default)
  • Increasing Recoil - An addition to Immersive Recoil which increases the recoil amount if you're shooting a lot in a short time.
  • Vehicles May Explode on Fire - Adds a somewhat rare chance that a vehicle will explode immediately when set on fire.
  • Sprint Fix - Holding the Left Shift key will make the player jog instead of sprint. To sprint, you need to repeatedly tap Left Shift. This is disabled with CAPSLOCK, or the Toggle Run setting in pause menu.
  • Toggle Sniper Scope - Pressing SPACE when aiming with a sniper will toggle the scope.
  • Low Health Exhaustion - Whenever the player is below 25% health, you can no longer sprint.
  • Allow Cops All Missions - A very minor/subtle feature that allows for police to always randomly spawn, regardless of whether a mission calls for it not to occur. This is meant to make your next playthrough more unique, interesting, and possibly challenging.
  • Verbose Logging - Logs a ton of information related to LibertyTweaks in the IV SDK .Net console. This can be useful for debugging; however, it will flood the console & hog performance. This feature is disabled by default.
  • GXT Edits - Replaces certain vanilla tutorials to inform the player of the features on Liberty Tweaks. E.g., Losing stars & the tracker services.

 

Misc

  • Quick-Saving will save your heading.
  • Loading Fade In can be disabled.
  • Installation is now simpler.
  • With Buff Swat, you can now headshot & ragdoll NOoSE with a sniper regardless of whether they have armor.
  • With Buff Swat, an armor threshold of 50% has been added, meaning only above 50% armor will they not ragdoll or be able to be headshot.
  • Remove Weapons On Death will now keep your melee weapons & parachute.
  • Improved AI has been given far more diversity & customization. You may configure certain ped groups & their stats in the Extensive Settings part of the .ini.
  • Health Regeneration has been rebalanced by default.
  • Health Regeneration will now slowly heal to 50% health outside of combat.
  • Lose Stars While Unseen has been rebalanced by default.
  • Unholstered Wanted Fix has been changed so that you only gain stars if the police actually see you (rather than a fixed radius), and a slight delay has been added.
  • Unholstered Wanted Fix has been changed so that if you're equipped with an RPG, you gain additional stars.
  • Save corruption should no longer occur. Do note that if you're on a save that had old versions of LibertyTweaks installed, those saves may become corrupted now. However, vanilla saves should no longer have issues.
  • Brake Lights will no longer be on when reversing from a stop.
  • Immersive Recoil has been redone to affect the specific weapon group seen in WeaponInfo.xml, meaning addon weapons should now automatically be affected.
  • Immersive Recoil also now affects snipers slightly.
  • Immersive Recoil is now halved when crouched.
  • Immersive Recoil has been rebalanced by default.
  • Added disposable magazines to EFLC weapons.
  • Various optimizations have been made which should heavily increase performance/stability compared to previous releases.
  • Changed default key for Weapon Holstering from "H" to "Tab".
  • Fixed crashing when using hotkeys in the main menu.
  • When starting a new game, you'll no longer see the player for a few seconds.
  • Fixed bugs relating to Realistic Reloading.
  • Fixed a bug in EFLC where autosaves would not save the player's position.
  • Fixed a few bugs related to Health Regeneration. Now all timers are reset accordingly.
  • Fixed a few bugs related to Lose Stars While Unseen. Now all timers are reset accordingly & the player cannot lose police in interiors.
  • Fixed a bug where Armored Cops would spawn with improper pants.
  • Fixed a bug where rockets & shells would appear after switching weapons too quickly upon reloads.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't disable Toggle Hud.
  • Fixed a bug with Overtaking Fix where peds would rear-end you more often than not.
  • Fixed an accuracy bug related to Move With Sniper.

What's Next?

This project has been given lots of great feedback. Tons of features are currently on the to-do list. Whether I'll get to them, I'm not sure. Currently focused on controller support, bug fixes, and a Stamina Progression feature. Stamina limited early game, but late game you run faster & have unlimited stamina. The game certainly needs some depth outside of combat, which this project has focused on a lot. 

 

To directly address something, there are a lot of bugs in this project that I'm aware of, such as the one Haxogone mentioned above. I'll probably hotfix some here & there, but they will also be acknowledged in future updates. This update has been getting a bit bloated & a fresh changelog is nice to work with. Just don't want y'all to feel ignored or something.
