This makes Big Bill Hell's Cars sound like a more appealing alternative. At least they're honest in the way they screw over their customers.

Rockstar could learn a thing or two from their transparency...

I'd sell on GTA VI release, that's bound to increase value. The singleplayer is likely to still be great, so just get ahead of all the inevitable bad news surrounding VI Online that'll happen for a couple weeks after release.

Nah, with GTA V and RDR2 their shares were quite lower than the average, I think it's a good time to sell now.

Plus, I should have been getting on that ETF train anyway, stock picking isn't worth the hassle.

Geez, I have 93 of the vehicles removed.

I also have a good portion of them and it hurts a little bit because some of these are basically my absolute favorites in the game: the Stirling GT, the Michelli GT, the Pigalle, the Roosevelt, the Zion Classic, f*ck... So many good cars that I love dearly and that newer players will never get to experience, or that I won't even be able to get extra copies of if I just want to have another one with a different paintjob or else. I know it's weird to say digital cars no longer being in a digital storefront makes you sad, but it actually, sincerely, makes me a little bit depressed because I spent actual hours if not even maybe days worth of gameplay with each of these cars as my active personal vehicles, and the idea that they're being gatekept out of the game just hurts in a weird intangible way. It sucks to know corporate greed is tearing a game you used to love into shreds.

What a stupid move. Even the least popular cars still have their fans. No car deserves to be given what is essentially a "f*ck you" treatment.

I wasn't hyped about this DLC before simply because I'm not a fan of military oriented updates but this move firmly puts it down there on my personal ranking. And frankly, I'm not a fan of a lot of the recent moves made by Rockstar anyway. Lately, I've been having more fun playing Star Wars Episode I racer -- and that is a nearly 25 year old game, almost classic car age.

Yeah, Baller and Baller LE are reported to be gone.

I mean the older baller was NEVER on the site at all, also, at least none of the day 1 cars are limited time this time...*

The sad thing is that this isn't at all about any given vehicle's popularity or lack thereof. That is just a cover. And it's obvious.

It would be surpassingly easy for them to add some features to the car sites to help organize the admitted avalanche of cars. A few more sorts and filters, a text search feature--that's all. "Streamlining" is a steaming pile of lies they spread over top of the real reason they did it.

Bro what are your talking about? The day before RDR2’s release take 2 stock was the highest it had ever been up to that point. Then the day of release everyone sold. If you sell take2 stock now you’re shooting yourself in the foot for sure.

I mean, even with the dated interface, there is no way the site loads that slow when you scroll, it's almost like they timed the loading/made it slower on purpose

flash is pretty darn quick for 2d you know, you almost have to try to make it slow

I'm not complaining. This is not about a better experience in buying these cars, but about making players log into the game more often and more often hunt for cars that they do not have in their collection.  It is similar in other games, for example in Gran Turismo 7. Old players already have everything they wanted, and new players will not even know that once you could buy all the cars available in the game.  For me, this change is even an interesting addition and I understand the decision of rockstar. I also understand that it is a slow forcing players to buy gta + because it will probably be easier to buy these unavailable cars with gta +.  Well, we are the product that rockstar eats and in the end it's always about the money.

GOOD NEWS: They announced these cars will be back in stage as part of the Premium Deluxe Motorsport and Luxury Autos showrooms, we didn't lose them forever.

BAD NEWS: It'll be an EXTREMELY PAIN process waiting for the rotation of cars every week.

Seriously I've been a fan of Rockstar for a long time, I respect all their decisions of changing the game but THIS? THIS has gone sort of too far

I tried this now on a Comet i had sitting in the autoshop and it allowed me to buy it and store it in a garage, so i guess thats a way to get some of them if you're lucky to get one to show up.

Yep, at least we have a chance of them reappearing. I have a Hermes sitting in my auto shop right now.

What the hell man. GTA6 online is fully f*cked already and it's not even out yet ffs R*

We can only hope that this ends up hurting current GTAO financially. I reckon the reason they're doing all this weird sh*t now, you know, limited time cars, removing cars, more and more event clothing etc., is they're testing if it'll increase player spending, if they can make more money. You don't wanna experiment too much when you still need the game to remain viable for a long time just in case it tanks because of it, but when you've got 1-2 years left on it before it's replaced? Might as well test the waters to see what works and what doesn't for the next one. This has to, somehow, fail or else the next GTA Online will well and truly be f*cked. There gotta be something we can do, right?

They're gonna remove part of los santos next update and claim nobody went there so to improve user experience they just wiped it off the map I just know it.

True but also literally just an excuse to convince us this isn't purely because of gta+, I bet they didn't want to make them available through means like this originally

Yet the Coquette Classic has TWO version of it on the Legendary Autos. One with a roof and one without. I mean, it's not like you can change that in an LSC, right?

Nah, let's remove the Stirling GT which is a car that got an HSW upgrade a year ago meaning it's actually relevant AND that it's a car that sticks out because it's one of the few where our characters actually interact with the gullwing doors.

If it doesnt exist yet wouldnt it be beneficial to make an "exchange thread" however you wanna call it. A place where people could sell the now removed cars they still possess via the LSCM option ?

You know the one allowing you to purchase the copy of a player car. Its not convenient  and platform dependent but that would still be a way to go around the entire thing. Beats paying for GTA+ or having to wait for an indefenite amount of time.

That's f*ckin insane!?

When they first announced they're gonna remove "lesser-used" vehicles, I was like "OH OK they gonna remove cars in traffic among with those no one buys, saves me from scrolling the webpage"

AND NOW I'M HERE

At first I was excited when I saw the new cars in-game but when I looked up how many cars got removed it just made me depressed.

I wish there was something we could do about it but even if we did somehow get Rockstar's attention I highly doubt they'd do anything.

Terrorism. I said it once and I’m saying it again. 24 hour non-stop bombing on Vinewood Car Club. Block road to LS port with firetrucks. Light Vinewood Car Club cars on fire whenever you see one. Spam we want pirvacy Vinewood Car Club gone in public lobby.

Do the original owner lose the car or do the game just make a copy of it? If later is the case I can certainly hop on the thread if they let PC players get E&E. But I ain’t giving away my babies…

it's a copy basically.

I think Rockstar has seen the popularity of glitches that allowed that sort of thing and then they made it a feature themselves.

You know what would be nice? Seeing these cars purchasable in Singleplayer, but Rockstar already set their foot down on the subject when they made them instantly disappear. Y’know, back when MP-to-SP glitches were still in demand, and required you to buy a vehicle online as a prerequisite to transport the car into Singleplayer, now there’s zero point in doing them.

They made if very clear that its not just “timeline”. They want players to play more Online, so most of the Online DLC cars are exclusive to Online.

It used to be just Stinger GT, which was cool. Now this is getting out of hand.

Maybe Rockstar will try to introduce some sort of Players Trading system to let us players trade rare items amongst the community? that'll raise the numbers of players in the public session again and...... IDK sounds like sth that'll got implanted according to the current situation.

2 hours ago, PlaysGTAOForSomeReason said:

Hopefully R* comes to their senses and enables the majority of the removed vehicles as items that can be stolen. Would give us back a legit GTA feel like within story mode. Having to buy cars I can find on the street is one of my least favorite parts of this game. (and that was before this update).

IMO, this is one way they can fix this mess. I started playing story mode again recently and its mind boggling how Rockstar treated story mode and online so different. I unlocked the Duke o Death in story mode on PS5...but had to find secret garages to store it in.

Because for some reason my characters have millions of dollars...and can only buy 1 four car garage and only have 1 safe house.

Game is called Grand Theft Auto.....not Grand Auto Shopping.
