The List Of All The Cars Removed From The Websites

Valve did something like this with Team Fortress 2 by removing 1 cosmetic per class. All of them were the first hats that dropped per class (sans Camera Beard; the first TF2 cosmetic ever.) The point I guess was to 'refresh' the item drop system by relieving players from possibly getting really old cosmetics a lot of people had already. It did not really stimulate the economy as these items were so common they were barely worth more post-retirement, they simply became a badge to flex your veteran status.

The difference here is Valve actually likes their community.

If the only point here was to make all of these vehicles subscription-only, I would consider that extremely egregious and a terrible decision on top of a pile of reasons (you shouldn't/I don't) play this game anymore. Online simply not being any fun at all being the biggest reason.

For those who are up to date, please enlighten me; is there an in-game economy in GTA:O yet? Can you trade or sell cars to other players? If not, can you see any possibility of moving towards this? It would be an interesting way to stimulate in-game player-to-player cash flow, but with the amount of cheating going on, I don't know about that; I think there is very little left to save this title. They will simply continue using it to line their coffers and do nothing in the favor of the players. Shameful.

I don't know what the f*ck is going on with Rockstar, they keep removing stuff and most of the things they put in the game now are time limited. Is this an apparently perfect business idea to them? It just keeps getting worse, rip Sanchez

I didn't think they'd remove THAT many vehicles! I thought they were only taking away the cheaper cars too, not expensive high-end ones. I guess Rockstar will return some only for a week to get people buying now-rare vehicles they once used to always have access to. This is stupid. They could have just given us more tabs or a new website for their supposed streamlining. They just want more money opportunities.

The etr1 is one of the coolest cars in the game. Cherubek the most fun and the 801 is a classic.

This has soured the update so much that I'm think of not bothering with it.

I didn't buy the ETR1 again thinking they'll never remove that, I sold mine to make space when we had no space.

I just seen someone in youtube comments say more missing cars are being spotted and the number is now at 192. Can someone confirm? What the actual f*ck rockstar...

Not one for B&M but.. this definitely overshadows anything good that may have come from this “update”.

Almost 200 cars removed for purchase.. that we can’t otherwise steal.. in a game called Grand Theft Auto.

Spoiler

So far, no update has “disappointed” me.  This update is a huge disappointment.

Why doesn’t R* just remove every vehicle from the game except for the Oppressor MKII and Torreador?  Raise price 109% of each vehicle due to “high demand”.

Come on R* give us the option to steal "Hot" traffic cars that we had since 2013 if you gonna pull this stunt!

Should have been a toggle option to streamline the websites if you want to!

Make no sense to our player experience :(

Something that occurred to me is that you might be able to buy some of the removed vehicles if they show up in your auto shop. I'm pretty sure I've had to work on a Seminole Frontier for example. That doesn't cover everything, though. No bikes either, but hopefully at least some of whatever bikes got removed can show up in your clubhouse.

Here's hoping they didn't go out of their way to keep you from buying them that way, or manage to do it by accident.

EDIT:I'll give an update once I get a removed car in my auto shop, assuming someone else hasn't tried it by then.

Yeah was thinking this too. I believe you can still buy cars from friends Auto Shops too.

If you have a Clubhouse garage, you get motorcycles in there and it looks like a decent chunk of the list shows up there. The problem is there's only one to service at a time.

I don't know if this has been asked before but is it still possible to buy cars that have been removed from other people that has them in ls car meet?

If so, it could be a good way to still get those that are gone.

Have the racing community become so small that the Issi sport is a lesser used vehicle?? That car used to be used a lot for rally races

When you consider the bigger universe of GTA Online players, racing communities are probably a small dot in their stats even if they're "big" in our perspective - I definitely think there should have been a bit more deliberation when choosing what vehicles to remove, so it would have been better balanced between the niche/hardcore communities, casual players and the truly "sh*tty" old vehicles.

Also on Gen9, if you can buy replicas of others' vehicles I wonder if that was one of their thoughts...

Yes on PS5 and Xbox Series IIRC. Or some variation of this.

I get what you're saying and I'm not directly disagreeing but I think cars used a lot in races would have a much higher chance of not being lesser used since from what I've seen cars aren't that much used in free roam but of course if we count heist, contact missions etc it might be a different story.

Not sure if we know how they calculate it either so that might have something to do with it also. If the racing community is let's say 5% of the player base they might only see 5% using it and it doesn't matter if they use it several days of the week. Not sure I made it understandable what I was thinking about but to tired to try any harder now 😊

I try not to fall prey to wild overstatements, but I really don't think this is one: this is simultaneously the worst and the shadiest thing they've done in the nearly ten years of this game.

I tried this now on a Comet i had sitting in the autoshop and it allowed me to buy it and store it in a garage, so i guess thats a way to get some of them if you're lucky to get one to show up.

So... well, well, well then. Oof!

It's obvious now that the line 'lesser used' was about as truthful as all those plans for RDRO! Is there even any bikes to buy left in the f*cking game now?!!!

I just got back into the game a couple of days before this update. Just yesterday I took some great care in reorganizing some of my garages. I really enjoyed seeing my collection of tuners and street racing style cars sitting in several levels of the Eclipse Boulevard Garage, even found some I forgot I had and really enjoyed driving, like the Sentinel Classic Widebody, which came out at a time I really wasn't into GTA, so I didn't drive it much then. It's basically THE reason why I keep coming back to this game. My car collection. I'll often just take whatever is my current favorite and cruise around for a while doing odd jobs. You know, Sightseer and stuff like that. Like, this game is so focused on buying and collecting cars and they decide to just... not let you do that to a f*ckton of cars anymore. Genuinely baffling and really turning me off what seems like an otherwise pretty good update (armored vans returning, yay) with a nice selection of vehicles, as I do like collecting some of the odder and unique vehicles in the game. I guess Rockstar f*cking hates players like me. f*ck me for not just buying sharkcards to get the newest Bugattis, Ferraris and Lamborghinis for 3 million each, I guess.

While this is a bad thing, I wouldn’t call it THE worst. GTA V having its promised DLC cut and repurposed, and turning GTAO into an explosive deathmatch grindfest that demands you to treat it like a second job were a lot worse and a sign that more scummy decisions will be made.

About 50% of the bikes are still there. Mostly the expensive ones.

There's 11 vehicles left in the Motorcycles category on SSSA. Two of them aren't bikes. Similar on Legendary. 10 vehicles, 2 aren't bikes.

It is in fact THE WORST.

Cutting planed content is bad, but outright removing content that has been there for yearS or making it inaccessable is simply inexcuseable.

For me personaly unless the add the cars back, nothing can get this update over a 1/10 imo.

Aside from the whole FOMO situation and rockstar removing these cars, I think something that should be pointed out is how bad this is when it comes to rockstar putting these cars back into rotation, excluding the HSW and GTA+ car club/museum as they are next gen, there is only a handful of places where all players can get these vehicles from now on.

  • 4 spots at the LSCM (Prize ride and promo rides)
  • 5 Spots at Simeon’s dealership
  • 2 spots the luxury auto dealership
  • 1 spot in the casino (The podium vehicle…that some people can’t even get due to gambling restrictions in their country)

There is not a lot of places where people can obtain many of these vehicles, some can also be stolen from the street or bought by auto/bike mechanic shops as service vehicles (at the moment) but the rest are currently unobtainable.

And to add insult to injury, something I noticed and I believe @WildBrick142 has pointed out before, most of the cars in these places end up being repeated week to week. So some cars and pretty much most bikes likely won’t make it to the dealerships…

At least the cut DLCs were repurposed into content that's readily available at all times. This... is now nothing but FOMO in it's worst form. Now all of these cars are going to be squeezed through the tightest wringer, and we'll be lucky if every car makes it through at least once.

1/10 is too generous. This update deserves a 0/10 or even a disqualification for how malicious it is.

100%.

Also if they really felt the need to cut this many, they should've also tweaked the Auto Shop and Clubhouse's Deliveries. It should be nothing but cars you can no longer get. Replace the traffic stuff like the Futo, Primo Custom and Sentinel XS and the website purchasable like the V-STR and Jugular. Then change up those delivery cars and bikes once every big update. It would get some people with FOMO and also freshen up the deliveries.

Have years in this game. Already own all the cars I ever wanted.

This is STILL disgusting. Why make a video game, which is for people to have fun, WORSE??? WHY? In the 21st century? No reason for this garbage. Why give people things then take them away? What's their problem? Also why nerf stuff like the old jets when they don't need it? You shoot them once with a pistol as it is, and they start smoking anyway...

So happy I have the longest game queue of any person you'll ever know. Between Zelda and Starfield alone, I'll be busy for the next year. Then I have a good 50 games I need to play that came out over the last 5+ years.

Also somewhat related, humanity as a whole needs to pull their heads out of their asses, stand up for themselves, and tell the world to stop with subscription services. Stop letting companies nickel and dime you.
