This upcoming week (1st - 7th June), it's time to take to the skies again but this time, not to sell anything! Get on your airplane or helicopter or other weird air vehicle of choice, and enjoy bonuses on all kinds of flight-themed activities, some ground activities should you prefer those, Freemode madness continues, and Franklin is paying double to resolve those Data Leaks! A bunch of aerial-themed Adversary Modes are also back.

 

Remember this is just a preview, and information may change. On top of that, Rockstar may reserve things for their own Newswire.

 

We understand that not every Event Week will be to everyone's liking, some will certainly be more exciting than others, but anyway...

Fire, Water... Air: Flight-Themed Bonuses All Week

A few weeks ago, we were all told to hit the skies to sell our precious Hangar cargo, something that really isn't the easiest of tasks considering the persistence of our favourite Merryweather Agents. This week however, it's all about doing whatever you want in the skies, from parachuting for more money, to honing your flying skills (should you need those - a lot do...) at the Flight School, or even test your prowess in a collection of flight-related Adversary Modes coming back this week!

Until the 7th June, find:

• 2x GTA$ and RP on Flight School (Carl... Learn. To. Fly.)
• 2x GTA$ and RP on Junk Energy Skydives (they're scattered all around the map, can't miss 'em)
• 2x GTA$ and RP on the Stockpile Adversary Mode
• Log in any time this week to claim the Pink & Green Camo LIvery for the Avenger

Additional Flight-Related Adversary Modes Return

As mentioned before, a few Adversary Modes you can cause chaos with in the skies of Los Santos and Blaine County are coming back, and although only Stockpile is on a 2x GTA$ and RP bonus, you can now go back to the roots of GTA Online air adversary modes and establish air superiority in the following modes:

 

• Drop Zone
  • No, it's not Battle Royale, but almost! Jump off a Cargobob in teams and hold the fort as much as possible at ground level. Stay within the aptly named Drop Zone for as long as possible and the reward is yours.
• Air Force Zero
  • Offense Defense a little bit, but in the air! Form a team to get the one player who is in the super VIP Air Force Zero, whilst the other team defends the VIP. Respect that flight plan, and don't die.
• Air Quota
  • Sometimes those guns on your hands just switch suddenly and you don't even know why! At least that's what happens when you fall into a Kill Quota lobby. Air Quota follows the same primary premise - but you start out in the big ol' planes, and work your way down to the wee ones. Size doesn't matter, you can do it. Even in the Thruster that killed Avon Hertz!
• G-Rating Cold and Hot
  • A true classic from 2014, pretty much Capture the Flag in the air! Go Cold by having weapons disabled, or go in Hot by enabling weapons and causing all kinds of carnage on the map. As long as you collect the most flags, you're good.

Run to the Finish Line with Time Trial Bonuses, Freemode Madness Continues, and Franklin + Dre Need You!

Meh week. Double cash and RP on time trials are good, but it's too bad that you can only get the par time bonus once per time trial per week.

 

$300K and 50K RP per day getting gold on all 10 JE skydives ain't too shabby, but you only get the full payout once per jump per day.

 

If their full payouts were infinitely farmable then it would have been a W week, but unfortunately no.

 

As always, thank you Spider for posting weekly events early. I really appreciate it, regardless of whether the events are good, bad or meh.

Man, they're really holding off on that Convoy event... then again, to be honest I don't think I care for it that much. It's just a 20-40% resupply as opposed to a Stash House's 100% supply. Have a naggin gfeeling the Convoy might just end up really glitchy anyway.

 

Either way, double on time trials is nice. In their defence, I think they don't really know how to drag this out until the next DLC is announced so there's that.

That was my initial thought too but them bringing Ron back for very little screen time in December, permanently doubling smuggler's run sale payouts in the same update, announcing upcoming changes to aerial vehicles in mid April and then now this week focused heavily on air activities makes me think otherwise

HSW time trial (PS5) did not award 2x payout. Event week has loaded. It's 7am ET and I was awarded the Avenger livery when I logged in.

 

I'll wait for the official newswire post to confirm 2x payout on HSW before opening a ticket.

RC Bandito Time Trials are a different tunable, the ones paying 2x are the regular time trials.

Yes. I made a mistake myself when describing the Data Leaks bonuses, thinking it was just gonna be the Data Leaks setups, but it does look like historically when R* refers to Data Leaks Missions bonuses that includes The Contract Finale - happened in March too.

That's what they told you. Why would they state HSW car here and not give 2x on the HSW trial? I mean, I wouldn't put it past R* to intentionally mislead people like this, especially with all the mistakes they've made to community/social media posts recently, but GTA YouTubers are reporting it's a 2x reward (TGG for example), so I'm not the only one interpreting it this way

Incorrect, there are no descriptors in Rockstar's emails as I said in a very long post addressing this last thread - I write flavoured descriptions for each thing. This is my fault, I am on PC and did not consider the HSW time trials are separate from the rest and thought you could use HSW vehicles on regular Time Trials. The list only specified "Time Trials" which are the regular ones, so I'll correct this and be more careful in the future.

 

The tunables only have the regular time trials on 2x, so it was my own description at fault, they don't tell us any such descriptions like they do on their own Newswire, it was me. It literally only says "2x GTA$ and RP on Time Trials" which are the regular ones, they always use the in-game wording for bonuses, and just "Time Trials" are the regular ones. They'd use RC Bandito/HSW/Premium/whatever if they meant any others.

 

I apologise and I have corrected this.

The bonuses are monthly, and should happen on the 8th... ...or the 13th if they are right about the summer update
