Worst Radio Station in Each Game.

cant remember

GTA1: One of the techno tracks

GTA2: Hare Krishna radio I suppose, lots of music I found to be bizarre

GTA3: I liked it better when it first came out but now I hate almost all the music and radio talk except Rise FM

Vice City: The talk shows, never listened

San Andreas: K-rose

Liberty Stories: Radio El Mundo. Didn't fit the theme, and all the songs were indian/middle eastern though the name would have you think it would be latin/world music.

Vice City Stories: Talk show station

GTA4 & GTA5: Can't really think of a station I think is bad, just stations I never tuned because it's music genres I'm not into

I didn't play all the GTA's but MSX FM is very likely the worst radio station of the whole franchise. Its "songs" sound more like an indigestible mash than like anything else at least IMO.

III: K-Jah

VC: Radio Espantoso

SA: K-Jah West

LCS: K-Jah and Radio Del Mundo

VCS: Radio Espantoso

IV: Either Tuff Gong Radio or L.C.H.C. - probably both.

CTW: Ticklah, Turntables on the Hudson and Sinowav FM

V: Soulwax FM, The Blue Ark, East Los FM and Channel X

Online: Every post-V added radio station with the exception of LS-UR. It was the only one with a decent and a listenable tracklist. The rest was a Spotify iTunes auto-generated garbage.

LCS: Radio Del Mundo

IV: Either Massive B or San Juan Sounds

EFLC: Electro Choc

I don't remember all the stations in all the games (that I've played) but I find country music incredibly boring, so I avoid K-Rose in GTA at all costs.

I quite like that one. But I'm from the UK, and drum and bass is (well, was in the 90s) huge over there, and it fits well with driving around like a complete maniac.

Not really a fan of the talk shows in general. The ones in LCS and V are particularly unfunny. I think only VCPR (VCS), WKTT (IV) and some of the shows on WCTR (SA) were alright, everything else just felt like Rockstar laughing at their own jokes really.

I liked the segments in WCTR that featured storyline events and plot points, however, especially the interviews with OG Loc and Big Smoke, so I hope they bring that sort of narrative tie-in back in GTA 6.

I feel like GTA 3 had more of an late-90s/early-2000s underground London vibe when it came to the soundtrack, which is cool and I haven't felt that vibe since, not even LCS came that much closer to that feel. Even the first track you hear on the radio when you start the first mission is a UK Garage track.

The talk shows are hit and miss. Now and then they do have some very good gags, but yeah. It's a bit inconsistent.

GTA III: MSX FM: eh, LCS did it a little better.

Vice City: Espantoso.

San Andreas: Playback FM. Literally never tune into it.

LCS: Chatterbox. Good but III was funnier

VCS: Espantoso

IV: LCHR. Never liked it.

V: East Los FM (BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP)

IV's rendition of L.C.H.C. is the most disappointing radio station in the series that I've listened to. With extremely short songs (IIRC, one of the songs was almost 50 seconds long) and mediocre "Hardcore Metal" songs.

It's not meant to be a metal station dude. It's an east coast thrash and hardcore punk station a bit like Channel X hence the 50 second tracks. That said, they definitely could have put better tracks in there.

III: K-JAH

VC: V-Rock

SA: Tie between K-JAH West and Radio X

IV: LCHC

V: Tie between Blue Ark and Channel X

Online: iFruit Radio (West Coast Classics was almost completely ruined though)

VI: Whatever station they're going to dump all their Circoloco records on

Nah channel x is sissy, amateur sh*t and isn't comparable to LCHC. That being said, they did a really good job with LCHC, hell they even managed to find a good Bad Brains song because imo most of their songs suck. The only bad addition to the station is Murphy's Law - A Day In The Life, but every station in every game suffers from at least 1 or more bad additions.

Any rock/metal/talk radio station is just sadly not my cup of tea, with some exceptions. For example LCHC was quite cool in both IV and EFLC but the rest is meh.

GTA3: MSX FM. Drum n Bass is really good, but this is just action movie music played fast.

GTAVC: Espantoso, the only good songs are played in the Ocean Beach hotel.

GTASA: K-JAH West. All the stations are genres I like in SA, except for K-JAH. I'm sure that if you like reggae, it's amazing, but I don't like it.

GTAIV: IF99. Don't hate funk, but IF99 is not a radio I listen to at all. The Vibe, LCHC, and LRR take up most my time anyways.

GTAV: East Los FM. No explanation needed. beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

GTAO: iFruit, West Coast Classics, Worldwide FM, ALL OF THEM.

(I'm not counting talk radio because that just feels too easy.)

GTA3 - None of the radio stations are really any good in-and-of themselves, so I don't think it's a fair question.

Vice City - Wildstyle FM.  I don't even know if any of the songs are bad, I just never listen to it because there's usually something extraordinary playing on Flash FM, or Fever, or V-Rock, or Emotion, or Wave.)

San Andreas - Probably Bounce FM.

GTA4 - I pretty much only listened to LRR, so take your pick I guess. Actually, no, I'd pick Vladivostok because they had to remove Schweine.

GTA5 - Any station added in GTA Online.

I disagree, I like the radio stations Los Santos Underground Radio (LSUR), Music Locker Radio, about 40% of the songs on blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM, and also I do not know why, but I used to like new GTA online songs on WorldWide FM more than the original ones, and few songs on Kult FM.

To each their own.  I like a few of the songs on Kult FM too, but the song list just feels too random (and many of the songs could just have well have been added to the already existing stations, like putting Tainted Love on Lowdown instead). As for the others you mentioned, I wasn't even aware they added new songs to WorldWide (because it's pretty much the channel I go to right before I say "screw it" and just turn off the radio), Blonded has 0 songs I would ever willingly listen to, and LSUR is just ... electronic dance club music (just SoulWax 2.0 to my ears), and I react to it basically the same way Max Payne does in MP3.

I think the only added station I don't mind was Motomami or whatever it's called, because (while I wouldn't say I "like it") I do have a soft spot for Caribbean / Latin raeggeton and dance music.  It feels like an addition that adds something the other channels don't have. And even if it feels like something that belongs in Vice City moreso than Los Santos, it still fits in the world.

Also, I was going nuts for like a minute trying to remember "Music Locker Radio", having no recollection of ever seeing it on the radio wheel, and looked up the GTA5 radio stations trying to find it.  Then when I looked it up directly, I realized you were talking about that place in the Casino.  Yeah, explains why I have no recollection, because I keep getting the little notification to go there and immediately ignore it due to a complete and utter lack of interest in the people performing or the kinds of music they make.

However going back to LSUR, every time I think about that station, I always remember the time my buddy and I were doing the missions for his club (poor bastard actually spent his GTAbux for that thing) and did the rescue mission for Black Madonna - and then, pretty much as soon as she started the first song, we canned her because we hated it.

I get a chuckle every time I imagine that incident from her perspective - getting captured by some criminal gang (why they'd want a "literally who???" with a "I want to speak to the manager" haircut is beyond me, but that's how it goes sometimes I guess), getting rescued by the owner of the club where your next gig is at and his friend, being driven there by them, setting up and starting your set ... and LITERALLY not even 60 seconds into your set, they walk up to you and go, "Nah, this is awful, get out of here." :prismkek:  Good times...

In my mind, I like to believe that's the reason "Steppin' Out" by Joe Jackson from the Vice City soundtrack is on her playlist for seemingly no reason - she's trying to win us back.

I appreciate the gesture, lady, but all you did was remind me of a game I had a much more enjoyable time playing.

Ignoring GTA Chinatown Wars because it's been ages since the last time i played them on my IPod touch. I'm also ignoring 2D Era since i only played them for couple of hours at best.

GTA 3:

Probably Head Radio, K-Jah or Game Radio FM.

I dunno to be honest since half of the radio doesn't really appeal to me.

GTA Vice City:

K-Chat.

While VCPR is probably one of my more favourite talk radios in GTA series, K-Chat sits on the other side of the spectrum.

GTA San Andreas:

CSR 103:9.

GTA Liberty City Stories:

K-Jah.

Generally, i find the radio stations to be somewhat better than GTA 3's.

*Radio De Mundo if we count the Mobile version.

GTA Vice City Stories:

Hard question to be honest but i would say Espantoso although i don't actually hate it.

GTA IV & ELFC:

Another generally difficult question.

Maybe Massive B, LCHR or TBoGT rendition of San Juan?

If it counts then post-2018 Vladivostok would definitely be on the list but that could be due to nostalgia so i dunno.

GTA V & GTA Online:

WCTR and BCR.

BCR is slightly better but it doesn't change the fact that i dislike both of them.

There are of course those newer radio stations that R* been adding. Some are good and some...not to my taste. However, I can't remember which one in particular.

"Akshually" Blonded, LSUR and iFruit are on that list - but not Motomami, Kult and the others you mentioned. Had those others been missing I'd have realized. I guess that's my bad.

Funnily enough, I don't even have any recollection of hiding Music Locker Radio from my station list. I guess it just had zero impact on my mind, the same way you tend not to remember a random fart from two weeks ago.
