GTA Online, a Completionist and Chronological Guide - v6.1

Welcome to this guide, a product of my passion for the Grand Theft Auto series and my commitment to achieving 100% completion in these games.
The creation of this document involved an extensive and meticulous process, consuming over 200 hours of dedicated effort.
What does this guide entail? Within its pages, you will discover a curated roadmap that

allows you to fully immerse yourself in all that GTA Online has to offer, presented in a lore-friendly chronological order.
Every mission, heist, activity, race, deathmatch, mode, collectible, and more is listed.
Additionally, I've included information on deleted content, offering ways to experience them again,
along with links to articles and videos providing insights into these aspects.
It's worth noting that I've chosen not to list Weapons, Vehicles, and Clothes as individual entries within the main document to maintain a manageable length.
Therefore, the Ill Gotten Gains Update is NOT FEATURED due to only having clothes, cars and weapons.

Also, a lot of WEEKLY EVENTS are not listed for the same reason, so don’t be concerned if you see huge time gaps between an event and another.

If it’s not listed, there’s only clothes, cars and weapons.
This document will undergo updates with each new release, as well as for any necessary fixes or aesthetic refinements.

Adding this content was the last thing i had to do before i can proudly say: The Document is now 100% Complete From now on, updates made to this document will only be made to add new content and to refine older entries

v2.0 July, 1st 2023 (outdated) [REMOVED] - Added the content from the "San Andreas Mercenaries" Update of June 13th, 2023 - Added the content from the "Independence Day 2023" Event of April 20th, 2023 - Fixed the Steal and Sell Missions from different updates, due to some of them being incorrect.

v1.1 May, 19th 2023 (outdated) [REMOVED] - Added the content from the "Shake Up and Top Marks Week" Event of April 20th, 2023.

you're welcome, i was looking for this too for so much time but since no one made a list like this i decided to take the matter in my own hands. Thank you for the kind words, this took a very long time to make and i'm glad you can enjoy it. Also, do you play on PC? Because there are a lot of Missions that require 2 players (for example the freemode co-op) and you can't find anybody for them, so if u want to we can help each other trough the list.

This is a Guide on how to play GTA Online trough all of it's expansion in a chronological order

This document is the result of my obsession with the Grand Theft Auto series and my obsession to complete games to 100%. It is also the result of a long and painstaking process of gathering all about the game and assign it in the right order, this took around 80 hours in total. So, what’s in this guide? In this guide you will learn how to properly experience everything that GTA Online has to offer, all in a lore-friendly chronological order. All of the missions, activities, races, deathmatches, modes, collectibles ecc will be listed here. I also listed deleted content along with articles and videos about them. The only two things that are not listed (and never will) are Clothes and Cars. Why?

A) I would lose my head listing all that sh*t.

B) You cannot get all of them anyway, a lot of those are limited to past events and things like that.

As a consequence, Updates (example Ill Gotten Gains 1) and Events that only feature clothes and cars WILL NOT BE LISTED. So don’t panic if you see huge time gaps between an event and another. If it’s not listed, there’s only clothes and cars.

The document will be updated every time something new releases.

Also, Rockstar keeps removing and re-adding in rotation some modes (example Adversary Modes) I will not document this because I can’t keep up with Rockstar’s bullsh*t. So, if you see something in this document that you cant find in-game, and does not have the “REMOVED” prefix in front of the thing’s name, it’s because Rockstar is rotating it, it will come around eventually (I hope).

I apologize in advance for eventual spelling mistakes, English is not my mother tongue.

4.3/COMPLETE EDITION 1.0 has been released

I removed any reference to GTA:OG because it has shut down, rip; i added stuff from 3TA Online.

And, most importantly, i added the things that were missing from the early days of GTA Online (stuff so obscure and forgotten that most don't even have a page on the gta wiki and barely any video footage)

This was the last thing that i had to do, the project is now complete.

From now on i will update the document when something new comes out

Thanks for the guide. I'm trying to play some of the removed Missions, but they dont show up in my Bookmarks in-game even though I bookmarked them through Social Club. Do I have to do something else to play them, like creating a playlist?

Nvm, I found a playlist with the missions from the author here. Just add the playlist and you can launch them in-game just fine.

started in december 2022, finished last sunday. But i only worked on this when i had free time/felt like it. If i had to condense the time spent working on this, i'd say it amounts to ±240 hours

mh, could be, i'd have to test it on a fresh character. But maybe R* did not remove the phone call, maybe they forgot that phone call even existed being now 11 years old lol

v6.0 released, it took a long time but i really wanted to fix all the ocd-level stuff in the document since i believe we are nearing the end of GTA Online's content updates.
