SamGleesh
Hello all, thanks for taking time to read  So i got a good pc a while ago and am trying my first modded playthrough of gta iv as its one of my favorite games of all time.  One of my goals was basically to replace all vanilla vehicles with their real life counterparts, and everything was going good for about 30ish vehicles and then things went bad quick lol. I decided to just stick around 20 and play like that, then I seen people in the comments of vehicle mods saying you can add as many as you want and fix the texture problems, but I haven't been able to contact them.  After replacing around 30 cars, when I drive around the textures either don't render at all, or are extremely low res and makes the game unplayable. So if anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it. I am 100% sure my PC can handle replacing all the vehicles, even at large file sizes, I just assumed the game couldn't regardless of what you tried, but it seems that may not be the case.  Thanks again! Scott1
As far as I know there are couple of mods to combat this problem: Fastman92 Limit Adjuster & IV Tweaker. Maybe first I'd suggest checking your problem isn't save game corruption, by starting a new savefile and checking if the issue goes away. Otherwise, one of those two mods may be your solution.

I was hoping to import all of the cars before I even start with my playthrough.

If you are familiar with it could you maybe point me in a direction as to what exactly would help the texture problem because I don't really see anything that seems to correlate to the problem I am having, or how to fix it. I am a noob at this so maybe I'm just missing something simple.
Scott1
I'm afraid I haven't personally used either mod so not sure but you might not be doing anything wrong the game just has a bad pc port and hardcoded limitations from being so old, however a half workaround (since you said 20ish replacements worked) would be to do just 20 and then delete every unreplaced vehicle from 'cargrp.dat' so you're not seeing any vanilla cars driving around.
