I did increase lod distance for some vegetation and props, the game gets very unstable if I touch peds or anything else. Props to Rockstar for a wonderful job with this version of Rage Engine.

yea no worries, that’s about what i expected. especially considering this is the 360 version

Hey Lenny, after starting a new game ive come across this visual bug due to the updated textures on John. Any fix?

Could be an installation issue, this texture works fine on my copy (http://redump.org/disc/13298)

this actually only happens upon starting a new game from the menu. at least for me. deleting the save file in xenia to force a new game fixes the texture issues

Just a quick question because the patch doesnt seem to work for me. I'm getting a xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT error while installing the patch using the bat. file.

I'm using (http://redump.org/disc/13298) which has been turned into a GOD using the an unmodded console and then coverted to ISO via GOD2ISO. 
Manually using xdelta and disabling the checksum check work for layer 0 but not layer 1. Is there I can do get this running? 

Are the patches only compatible to specific version of the game / disc like GOTY or does the dumping method affect the compatability of the patches?

The next version is going to have a much simpler installation and should be compatible across all RDR versions, and hopefully including the switch as well.

Not a priority for now, since 360 and Switch emulation usually give better performance at the moment. Plus the tools available don't work on PS3, maybe down the line.

Glad to hear that and appreciate the work! Is there any news when the next version is coming out? I have trouble installing the project rn

Only thing I have noticed whilst playing through the switch version is that vegetation looks rough from a distance. 

 

Am I okay to post a bug here? Or contact via Discord?

As you can see on the video, getting close to the shore and the god rays. The screen freezes yet some things remain moving on the screen eg like radar/god rays. 

I did test on my original game within xenia and this doesn't happen.

Yes, an update is being worked on.

People reported issues when installing on GOTY edition, I suggest you wait until the next update. It'll be compatible with all versions.

dump romfs and  you have every file that u can modify in it but it also has a weird extension .wsf instead of .xsf

I have the Goty Version too but only the disc 1 is that the problem?

It would be great if someone makes a mod to make the switch version look like the ps4 version first. I have both versions and the switch looks quite bad in certain aspects like vegetation quality, no ambient occlusion, much lower draw distance etc

Also thanks, I'll see how different the file formats are compared to the 360, and if things work, port over the textures, since I'm seeing some small UI improvements on this new port.

It's now official, I'll port this mod to the switch, I assume some files will be different but the majority of the configs I'll be porting over should resolve issues like bad vegetation and draw distance.

That's amazing man, I am really grateful for your work. RDR1 means a lot to me and seeing a modder improving it like this is incredible. Keep us updated if possible with the progress🙏

I think Rockstar left some files for DoubleEleven in there and they forgot to remove them, I still wish they'd given this port to "leaders in the industry" (you know who) so we'd get more freebies out of it.

It's so embarrasing how they just forget to remove the instructions in the files, it's like they are doing it on purpose.

At least they cared enough to give DoubleEleven agent-free files of RDR, the fx, skyhat (timecycle) etc... files of Agent aren't in the Switch Port. All multiplayer files are there though, I wonder why that didn't make the cut.
