Do you guys remember mission/car names?

When I was a teenager I knew the games almost by heart. I knew the Pony and Rumpo were the two vans for example, the Meteor is the scientist gang car, "The Crook" one of the side missions where you have to pick up burglars and bring them to Marty Chonks.

 

Now i find that when people mention a car name or mission title, I have no idea what mission it is until I look it up. Am I the only one suffering from GTAltzheimers ?

I know car names like the back of my hand, but mission names are a bit harder unless they’re incredibly iconic

I forget these because I don't find them important to know and remember, I can look up the missions/vehicles of so needed for something, then I forget them again.

I was very bad at remembering vehicle names in particular. I'd just steal the vehicle in game and ride off without bothering to read it's name. There used to be this forum game Which vehicle do you prefer on here, and I'd almost always have to look up the choices on gtawiki

I know every single GTA VC mission by name, progression, mission giver, unlocker and what it unlocks. I suppose I should be embarrassed about that.

I remember almost all mission names from San Andreas and a lot from Vice City. I watch a lot of speedruns, as well, so I always see the mission names in the splits constantly on screen when I'm watching Hugo One or Joshimuz. Same with the cars, the 3D era car names are burned into my mind, especially those that appear in all 5 games

 

I know barely any mission names from IV and V since they're not as prominent on screen. I remember a few more notable ones. I do pretty well with car names for V because of Online. IV has too many "normal" everyday cars that often look sorta similar for me to remember them all.

Yea in the 2000’s I remembered most of the mission names in the 3D era games… it starts to get fuzzy if I go too long between play throughs …. I typically remember the car names very well though

Pretty well throughout the 3D universe. The newer games are where I falter with the cars in particular, as there's just too much content to keep track of.

It depends on the game. I can easily recognize every vehicle from III and many from VC/SA/LCS/VCS/IV and V but I'm more inclined to get some vehicles mixed up, especially in V/Online simply because of how many there are and I can't be bothered to keep track of every single one of them. I usually remember the vehicles I use the most but since they have released so many new cars and bikes and whatnot I just stopped keeping track of them.

 

As for missions I have an easier time remembering them, mostly those from III/VC/SA and IV because I've played them a lot as opposed to LCS/VCS and V which I have not played as much. I don't necessarily remember them in order but once I read their respective titles I know what each mission is about as well as where the enemies spawn/what's the most efficient route to take, that sort of stuff.

I remember most mission names, but struggling to remember vehicle names unless they have a distinct model, ex. Bandito from San Andreas.

I remember a handful from different GTA games, other than the iconic or well known ones.

I can remember the hard ones. No one's gonna remember missions like Three's A Crowd for example because they're filler.

Vehicle names in the 3D era are super easy to remember. Mission names are a tad bit harder but generally everything's in place. In the HD era I barely remember either.
