Ok hear me out, most would assume that Asuka would be out for revenge and have Claude killed for treason, well I genuinely think it'd actually be the opposite. See, it turns out Asuka has a thing for Claude, after all she called him her "handsome handyman", that's quite the compliment, especially coming from the Yakuza's co-leader. I mean this is irrefutable proof that she has some undisclosed love for Claude, and she trusts him deeply by having him do all these important jobs for her and her gang. In reality she'd confront Claude first and then reveal her love for him. Now that her stupid brother is no longer in the way to play with her toys, she's finally free to do whatever she wants while becoming the sole leader of the Yakuza at the same time thanks to her one and only Claude. Once Claude kills Catalina and then Maria for talking too much, they'd finally decide to go public and lead the strongest gang in LC. Together they would wipe the remaining gangs out and expand their territory beyond Shoreside Vale's hills, opening up the tunnels in the process. They would eventually get married and have three children—two boys and one girl—and ultimately die of old age, with Claude's tombstone reading "no ragrets".

That's honestly how I thought things would go on my first playthrough. 

 

When Donald Love asked Claude to kill Kenji I had an "Oh sh*t" moment and thought "Great, the Yakuza are going to hate me now too."

(But of course the catch is he's doing it in a Cartel Cruiser and can't exit it while in sight of the Yakuza meeting.

That's the whole reason Love wants Kenji dead, so the Columbians are framed and they and the Yakuza have a gang war, lowering the prices of property in the area. Love actually has nothing against Kenji personally it's just "sometimes the way in business" as he says.)

 

I bet Claude even thought this too, as in the mission "Grand Theft Aero" after Catalina escapes, Asuka appears and surprises Claude who even quick draws his gun on her for a sec, now whether it's because he thought she must have found out and is here to kill him aswell or its just because he was on edge after his encounter with Catalina and Miguel just being shot, I don't know.

We rarely know what goes on in Claude's mind. But anyways the trick worked as she blames Miguel and his gang and Claude puts his gun down and gets to leave scot-free and walks away like a smug badass. 

 

Now if Donald DID have something against Kenji for whatever reason and Claude does the hit in a normal car like a Stallion or something lol idk. Then the rest of the game would play out quite differently. "Grand Theft Aero" would be way different, again like I said, the first time I played through, and saw Asuka in the cutscene I thought the mission would be way harder, as in "I had to kill the Columbians to enter the construction site, now I'll have to fight the Yakuza to get out" but of course that's not what happens.

 

However, if Asuka did find out then I'd imagine the mission plays out as normal until Claude takes the lift up the tower being built, he shoots in the air and holds Miguel and Catalina at gunpoint as normal, until Asuka appears more quickly and says "YOU! We trusted you!! And you killed my brother!!" or something like that, idk, and in the confusion Catalina shoots and kills Asuka and escapes and as Claude is distracted Miguel goes to get the briefcase and Claude dodges and shoots him and he falls down to the ground below. Claude then goes back down and instead of the Yakuza just hanging around with free Stingers, Claude now has to fight them too to escape and bring the package back to Donald.

 

The rest of the game would be drastically different aswell, as now without Asuka's guidance and intel from torturing Miguel, Claude would have to do the next few missions on his own intuition I guess and maybe with Maria's help aswell, like in the mission "Bait" Maria would be like "Hey babe, I heard at a party that those bad Mexican guys are aftuh ya or somethin', I've scoped out some spots were they hang around and stuff..." or alternatively Catalina could just send Claude some "Kingdom Come" esque letters, boasting and "revealing her own ignorance" with some sh*t like "I HAVE DEATH SQUADS OF SOME REAL MEN COMING AFTER YOU MI AMÕR!!!! YOU AND YOUR SLEAZY PUTA WILL BE DEAD SOON!!!! - Catalina xxx." And then he'd run off and lead them back to his Staunton hideout or something and would have to fight them off himself (or maybe Maria could help with her Uzi? lol.)

"Espresso 2 Go" might not even happen as I don't think Claude cares if the Cartel are selling SPANK or not and isn't trying to wipe them out as a whole, only Catalina.

Same goes for S.A.M, idk how that would work as, again, other than it would really piss off Catalina, Claude really has no reason to do this without Asukas vengeful instruction.

Maybe The Hoods could play a larger role in place of Asuka? 

 

Anyways I'd imagine that "Ransom" and "The Exchange" would still happen just maybe with Claude going back to one of the hideouts one day to find Maria missing and the ransom note there instead.

 

The remaining Ray Machowski missions (if not already done by the player) wouldn't change, as by this point he's more focused on getting his ass outta there than he is with Yakuza affairs, and Donald Love's last few missions could still go the same I'd imagine. Although now the Yakuza could be another suspect for his disappearance if they knew he was involved. 

 

So yeah, to cut a long story short, Asuka somehow discovering Claude killed Kenji would really alter the endgame and definitely make the game more difficult (now the only gang remaining that DOESN'T hate Claude are The Hoods).
