East Los FM had good themes in it. I specially liked that it had spanish speaking rock, pop and ska tunes. Not just reggaeton like San Juan Sounds. It was a shame it has two djs that are painful to hear. They even sing along in one song, oof. Even though I heard very little of Motomami because I despise the genre, I agree that a popular type of music has to have its station if it's relevant to the time period and demographic of the game. But I absolutely L O A T H E that now Sam Houser has to brag he is best buddies with all the musicians, bringing real people to the setting. It irked me with FlyLo although I like Flying Lotus, it started to get worrying with the nightclubs update and the Detroit douche, and now we have the Motomami station named after a popular record. It screams sellout to me. I'm playing The Contract in Online right now and I am getting embarrassed all the time. Dre has to be the most insecure dude in all music industry. Like all characters need to say out loud how cool he is at all times or I guess he would storm off the recording booth or something. Theyve been doing that since 3 with Stretch Armstrong and Timecode/Codebreaker, I dont feel it should really come as a huge shocker with Online given how popular the game is still. Calling the game a sellout is funny considering it's never been an underdog series man, but that's beside the point. If they were a business all for the money they would half-ass a GTA game every year and make it a soccer game. Sometimes a big budget triple A game goes the extra effort to not follow all the expected trendy trends of the industry or genre, and it deserves the praise they get by the consumers and the insiders alike. The attention of detail and work that goes into the GTA games mattered to me and to many others. Even if is usual and expected to half ass this things, my opinion is it's fair to voice the dislike.
