Make GTA 4 not pause on focus loss?

I run my gta 4 install in windowed mode which makes it really easy to alt tab, however it pauses the game which makes it really annoying to pass time during e.g. loading. Is there any mod or tweak that lets me remove the pausing on focus loss? In GTA 5 for example, it's just an option in the graphics settings.

If your install is not the RGL version (1.2.0.30 and newer), there's a command in ZolikaPatch you can utilize that'll prevent the game from pausing whenever the window is not focused.

DoNotPauseOnMinimize=0

 

Simply change the "0" to "1" so the game doesn't pause when the game is unfocused.

Is it also possible to make gta 4 stop capturing input when unfocused with this on?
