Unlike GTA Online that has a story and we can place events before and after, IV's multiplayer was random. It was just that, a multiplayer mode. Any claim of it being canon doesn't really change the outcome of anything. From a quick search, it seems like multiplayer takes place in 2008 regardless of which DLC. My justification is that, according to GTA Wiki fandom, the Schafter in TBOGT multiplayer is still the old Schafter used in Niko's IV. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nonetheless I believe the only significant event that happened in Multiplayer is Bomb Da Base. Not sure if any of this is canon but it may as well be set before, during or after IV imo. Nicki Posted February 21 Share Posted February 21 (edited) If you play Kenny Petrovic‘s missions, there is a cutscene with an random russian mobster ped(your character) and Kenny telling you about a shipment coming in Liberty City in Pegorino‘s mansion and walking with you to his garage which is a hint that after Pegorino got killed by Niko, Kenny bought it and now owns the mansion. There’s the slight conflict of this is the ship being blown up in Bomb da Base II, but this need not be the Platypus, could be her sister ship. Friends of mine and I made a 3 part two hour movie for Cops ‘n Crooks. Amongst other things it ties CnC in with the story to explain the “terrorist scare” that caused the bridges to be closed, Kenny Petrovic’s rise to unassailable power, why the police are set up to respond so quickly when Johnny and the Lost storm the ASCF, and little details like how and why someone in Goldberg’s Office was murdered: EL_FUGA, Nicki, D T and 2 others 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
