universetwisters
Personally for me, it’s the Admiral. People say it’s supposed to be a Mercury Grand Marquis but I simply don’t see it. It looks like a Lexus from the early 90s but with even wonkier proportions. The Rebla and PMP 600 are a close second to me. The Rebla just looks way too goofy being way too narrow, tall, curvy at the front, and with big ugly rims that look like they came from a hot wheels car. It’s like a Chinese knockoff of a Mercedes SUV. PMP 600 just looks dumb with the chop top too imo ult1matum

44Orca
Rebla, Perennial and Contender, don't like their design at all. I preferred driving the "beater" cars over them.If I choose one has to be the Rebla though. Edited February 11 by 44Orca

BloxedRetro
Forgot if this was in 4, but I'm generally not a fan of when cars have the glass roofs in GTA, and there's a sports car that's small, has a glass roof, and just looks awful imo

AC Schnitzer
PMP 600 was kind cool imo with that cartoony look of 300C. The ugliest for me it's definitely Rebla with strange proportions, being too tall and too narrow. I always tried to not drive this car if I could. Krooked_
Yeah I'm not a fan of the Rebla either. It looks like something out of the 3D era with its goofy design. Also the Fortune. It just looks off with its elongated body. The Tracker

gnome child
Admiral is definitely a top contender here. There's no redeeming qualities about it, it's just big time garbage all around. I wish it looked more like the 80s Benz style that III-era games used. I like the PMP 600, but they made it look way too aggressive. The current model would have been cool as a thugged-out variant, but a stock 300C would have been nice as well. I still see tons of mid-2000s 300Cs on the roads. Soccer moms and drug dealers love it to this day! Edited February 12 by gnome child
billiejoearmstrong8
For me it's the Patriot. I know it's supposed to be big and ostentatious but it really is a monstrosity. Looks far too big on the small and crowded Liberty City streets.

You can't deny it's the perfect vehicle to mess around with the unmatched collision physics. Nothing beats crashing a Patriot with other cars at top speed. It’s fun but I don’t think it should be as springy as it is ingame but I know that’s a bigger issue not relating to individual vehicles I do hate the PATRIOT American flag decal on the side. Idk why it just looks tacky as hell

kobeni
The Rebla. I don't know how Rockstar can f*ck up a cool looking BMW SUV that badly, thought it was some sort of minivan at first. ult1matum, Tikal The Whimsicott, universetwisters and 1 other

ddarko12
Solair. Undoubtedly. It's not only boring looking, but it has that hideous 90's jellybean styling that really grinds my gears. Drives like sh*t to boot. Has the personality of a doorknob. I actually quite love it, but it is horrible. ult1matum and universetwisters

The Rebla never really fit in with the other Ubermachts, and it doesn't really look like anything. Like sort of X-something but not really, way frumpier, terrible performance and wobbly handling. If it was a little longer, less frumpy and handled better it would probably be good. I feel like SUVs were really meh in general in IV though as they were far less popular and mainstream than now. Idk man I think the Habanero and Serrano and even the Landstalker (and Rancher if you count it) look good for the setting (tho maybe not the rancher lol) and emulative of it’s real life counterparts, just the Rebla was the ugliest one out. It’s like the redheaded stepchild that should’ve been put up for adoption the second it crawled out of its mama’s ass. Also to circle back to your last point, SUVs were pretty popular back when IV came out. I know the burden of proof is on me but if you watch any movie from that time, there’s gonna be some SUVs. If you pull up some consumer data about the most popular or most sold or best ranking vehicles of the mid to late 2000s, you’ll def find SUVs making the list. Idk how popular they are today tho since it’s all about crossovers.
ddarko12
Well the difference is they were mostly real SUVs, big ones like Escalades or Exploders or Navigators and a few like the X5 or ML. There was not a whole fleet of crossovers or SUVs per brand in 2008. And in Texas, the number of trucks still outnumbered them to my recollection. Sedans were still more popular as a whole. Versus 2013 when brands are thinking "hmm what if we turned every car platform into a crossover" or 2019-now where 99% of cars have been killed and there are like 7 SUVs per brand and every dumb ugly soccer mom drives one and hogs the left lane and only ever uses 20% of the space.
