VC freezes in stores with Uncut Patch installed

I got a GTA Vice City PC DVD from Green Pepper and I installed an Uncut Patch that replaces the .exe file of the game. Everything works fine but when i go in any store, the game freezes. I tried starting a new game but it's still there. Can someone help me?
