Seriously, though, how would a cross-mode premium currency work for GTA? It's quite simple for Fortnite since it's just all your skins and stuff, but what do you sell in GTA? Would your character and therefore your cosmetics carry over between modes or something?

Exclusive liveries, weapon skins, clothing items, car and wheel colors, why wouldn't it work in VI Online? GTA+ is already a step in this direction and I'm afraid we'll see more of it, more content that can only be purchased with real money.

They'd have an in-game premium store. It'd sell cosmetics like clothing, weapon camos/paints, car liveries, whatever.

That's it, nothing in GTAO would complicate it.

It's not a question of what to sell, but how to carry it over into custom game modes without infringing on peoples creative visions. Meaning if somebody wanted to make a grounded, gritty gang warfare mode or something, it would be kinda sucky if people showed up dressed as a christmas tree with bright pink guns. On the other hand, they probably don't want to cut out the custom game mode side of the game from spending money in the premium store if the skins and stuff are disallowed in many custom modes. If it was just regular GTAO similar to now, sure, it would be no problem, but if they want ROME to be able to create full custom game modes and be a semi-replacement for FiveM, it needs to give players a lot of control. In Fortnite it's not a problem to have silly skins in a Skibidi Toilet Tycoon game mode, the games whole artstyle is cartoony anyway, but a more realistic setting and artstyle like GTA makes it more difficult if you don't want to limit peoples creativity in the creator. If there was no way to turn off custom skins in custom game modes, that would pretty quickly turn people off from trying to make anything RP-esque or otherwise realistically flavoured and just leave the sillier game modes.

ROME, if it ever becomes a thing, is from what I gather the replacement for FiveM. It's built from the ground up by R* to be a modding platform, where as FiveM is basically a reverse engineered hackjob that's tacked onto the side of GTA V.

GTAO2 will have UGC stuff but it'll most likely be an extension of what UGC stuff and tools exists in GTAO1 today, I doubt ROME will have anything to do with GTAO2.

You can't prevent this to happen anyways, some people will always kill immersion by stupid looks. Just look at current GTAO, half of the playerbase looks like hellspawns. Best solution would be not to have too whacky customization in the game at all, e.g. red or alien eyes, stupid face paints.

Disagree. That's a community preference issue, not asset issue. You can do something properly with zhem assets.

the playerbase you probably mention somehow nail to obtain sh*te. (Look MetPro SOWC's characters :lmaokek:)

Basing on edgy looking tryhards, you can make your own cursed/zombie soldier instead if going realistic character. (Undead Nightmare/Gothic theme intensifies)

Even we remove them, we will complain about other stuff, so nah. I think VIOnline will add them later.

I am back after playing Online on PC after Enhanced released and god dayum... Amount of tryhards who try to grief you abusing every possible bug you dont even know exists and shotting at you with hundreds of thousands worth of gear because they have like 600 000 000 000 cheated on their account is astonishing... previously they were in the game and they were first to grief but when it came to actually fighting them then they were just bad and you didnt need any meta knowledge on who to full auto RPG or run faster to fight them... 2014 GTA Online kit was just enough...

I wish Rockstar actually patches the PvP exploits when they are discovered in GTA VI Online, its astounding that after all that years since GTA V came out on PC you can still full auto an RPG. Also the PVP is really spastic with things like the taser that sends you in the air (Atom something) or deployable drone.

Also what I wish for is that when they introduce new stuff you dont need to know a f*cking foodchain of of vehicle meta to know what vehicle is the only viable option to fight other vehicles. I just recently discovered that toreador is a f*cking meta. Its nearly impossible to dodge its missiles and it takes 6 homing rockets to take down (or two regular). I am personally getting lost when B11, Deluxo, Toreador, Molotok, Raiju or one of two opressors should be used... not to mention that its just bullsh*t that for a fair fight you need all of those vehicles. I hope the bullsh*t vehicle PVP is gone in VI but I am not really hopeful for lack of the futuristic crap in VI Online so I just wish they balance it so if you get attacked by one of the try hards you actually have a chance to show im his place with just manual skills instead of abusing the meta.

you know.. i always love annoying NPCs in GTA games. The problem is, they either flee or immediately retaliate by fighting or getting in a fighting stance. In IV, you could push NPCs in a funny way. They'd stumble until they'd fall or speed walk/run away. What if they get an agitated stage? they don't try to actually hurt you, but also push into you. If they succeed, we could have our character stumble like how they do when drunk. Non-aggressive behavior is what i'd like to see more of. Not just either flee or fight. It's fun to mess with NPCs without cops becoming a hassle.

Prob a given but I hope we can transfer characters, maybe then the game treats our character like a big shot. BUT... if we start a new character, it's kinda like old Online, we're essentially street trash and we need to prove ourselves. I hope we make pittances though, imo 10k seems like a huge payout in the hood even in the old days.

Transferring character just feels wrong. We had this discussion like a year ago. If they'd let you keep all the cash, or even a portion of it, it would kill the game's balance on day one. Not to mention how heavily modded some accounts are. Alternatively, they gave you that "you lost everything" narrative. Which in my opinion feels really disrespectful for older players and our cherished accounts.

What I would like to see is our old characters be referenced as "connection" of our new character, who "sponsors" our character or put in some good words for them. Say if our old characters have a lot of playtime (or anything that cannot be easily modded), we get to use starter cars and safehouses dubbed our old character's property in Vice City. Then when we meet new NPCs they act more respectful than if we don't have old characters, and when we meet returning characters they act like we are slightly involved in activities in Los Santos.

If R* don't want to give out any actual awards, at least leave a "happy ending" reference like how our characters went legit or disappeared to retire, by a returning character like.. *cough... Lester.

Another thing I'd love to see is separation of legit and underworld assets. Where committing crimes with untracable cars and weapons gives extra reward, while legit cars and homes offer other benefits such as passive mode, or being more likely to be ignored by law enforcement and enemy. And just like RDO, if you want you can use untracable stuff all the time, or let the whole town know who's screwing with them. Just a thought.

One last thing is small gadgets: watches, phones, signal jammers, satellite phones for rural areas... etc. Also a cool feature from RDO. I loved collecting those nice watches, and buying new cameras and horse care stuff as I progress through the game.

I think they could do it so you take everything but money, maybe except a couple thousand, and you get "insured" for certain property. You had a high-end appartment, get a discounted or free high-end house in Leonida. Medium-End, whatever. I get that prob won't work though considering I'm pretty sure every player gets a high-end apartment nowadays. But yeah maybe give older players a small boost or whatever. Keep clothes and whatever ig. Hell one thing that would be cool is if we could keep certain cars (Not really sh*t like tanks and oppressors and sci-fi sh*t, just certain sports cars) and we had a San Andreas license plate.

I was thinking R* would keep the whole big-shot aspect so would let us transfer or whatever but yeah I can see why they might do the contrary.

Totally agree. I think this could also be a good possible opportunity to revive the old Cops / Police team mechanic?

A unique San Andreas licence plate style would be a pretty good reward for transfering your character, if it was ever a thing.

As for the "lore" reason for why we'd be in VC...

"We been talking about expanding down South, right? Vice City is twenty-four carat gold these days..."

Frabbi 01

Don't know if this was mentioned, and I'm not going back 50 pages, but a better creator menu system is needed.

Making survivals is pretty tedious. We need to be able to see all waves on 1 screen, instead of tabbing between them.

Also object placement. I hope the newer engine accounts for uneven surfaces so you can place anything anywhere for the most part.

Enemy AI needs a lot of improvement. They need to be able to jump and climb. Zombie survivals end up being terrible because it's so easy to find a spot they can't reach.

As far as content, I want to be able to create a full map, endless survival, with no waves. Just whatever enemies you call for, just keep coming. There should be a "longest survived" record.

Yup, SA, LC, LV plates. Some reference to LS and GTA V is a good idea. And maybe some connection to old characters and NPCs. I was thinking a smart move would be our new character being one of the "friends" characters who helped us in heists and CEO works. Then they are refered to VC by our old character. Or was sent there to do some job and ended up sticking around. Keep in mind that lore wise our friend's characters have unknown backstory.

Another thing I absolutely crave is small to medium robberies we can set up with minor guidance. Size of armoured car robbery to fleeca jobs in GTA O. With realistic pay that varies from job to job.

SgtGravy

I hope we can hear the police scanner in Online this time. I don't know why they muted it in GTA V, it added a lot to the experience in SP hearing the dispatch lady reporting on your last seen car, speed, direction, etc.

There's a couple of occasions where you can still hear the police chopper pilot radioing in to dispatch like in single-player, it seems to happen in the Union Depository Contract. I have no idea why though but it makes me wish it was always active.

I'd like to see themed/bonus weeks (or whatever exactly you wanna call it and what timeframe you wanna use) that actually change the feeling of the world. Like a racing week having more races going on in the world. The actual racetracks are more busy having a race going on with a big crowd almost 24/7, certain streets are blocked off because they're used to host race events, you can spot more street racers and dirt bikers in the world, there's extra cash for doing freeroam races with other players. Beach party/heatwave weeks where the beaches are packed, there's parties hosted there with DJs and light shows, pool parties at mansions and penthouses happen more frequently, there's more water based activities going on and extra cash is given for those. Gang warfare weeks where more gang members and fire fights are happening around the world, there's extra cash for engaging in gang activities or supplying them with weapons, their robbery targets are filled with more and more valuable loot.

You know, things that both change the vibe of the world as well as the opportunities presented.

Online protagonist can speak for once this time and more gang related clothes like bandanas on wrist, ankles, etc. Joining a gang faction where gang members NPC’s will even protect us, shoot along side us and even recruit them option.

Being able to be a cop and use the dispatch system, traffic stop and to arrest suspects. Cops will be on our side this time and we don’t get any wanted stars.

I don't know if anyone else has already said this, but I'll say it anyway, I want the characters to have more customization this time, and I mean the body, in GTA 5 Online everyone has the same body.

Just now, Lucía López said:

No sé si alguien más ya lo ha dicho, pero lo diré de todos modos, quiero que los personajes tengan más personalización esta vez, y me refiero al cuerpo, en GTA 5 Online todos tienen el mismo cuerpo.

And although the face is different (depending on you) the body is what bothers me, I also wish they would create animations in their respective genders, so that you understand me better

Y aunque la cara es diferente (depende de ti) el cuerpo es lo que me molesta, también desearía que crearan animaciones en sus respectivos géneros, para que me entiendas mejor.

i was watching some very old gta online videos yesterday. and it dawned on me that all the kids in those old videos are all grown up now. and some of them are probably married or have kids themselves now. which is so hard to believe. and some of those kids will be the kids that we see in the gta 6 online videos. it's so weird to think about. but back in 2013 these kids were probably playing every day after they got home from school. but nowadays they probably don't play it nearly as much. this was 2 console generations ago. i had a friend that i met about 11 years ago. he was a squeaker when i met him. and we played multiple times a week together. nowadays i rarely play with him or even talk to him. and when i do i barely recognize him because his voice is so different. the kids that will be playing gta 6 online most likely weren't even alive when gta 5 came out. and the ones that were were too young to know what gta was. and yet here i am still an adult watching the cycle repeat itself. the kids are going to sound the exact same as they did 12 years ago. but it's a whole different generation now. and those kids from 12 years ago will now be the ones complaining about squeakers. the more i think about all this the more I'm filled with melancholy.
