I'd be okay with waiting a few months after release for GTAO2 (or whatever it's called) if it launches smoothly with enough content to get us by until the first big update. I though RDO would have improved after how terrible GTAO's launch was, but it ended up being even worse somehow

In the case of the server, I want GTA 6 players to be able to open themselves using a dedicated server. R* does not have to be difficult to maintain the server. Past games and RDO have been taken care of by R*. It's tiring to develop a game and have to take care of the server like that. Therefore, R* only develops the game and creates characters. No need to maintain the server Let the players manage the server by themselves.

GTAO was basically a test, they went in it without a plan and had to adjust the prices accordingly with each update. They have to have a real plan to keep the prices for certain things low, as 1.5 million for a VW Golf or some old Honda is just ridoculous. They should both be below 10k.

The only way I see this happening is if they introduce a battle pass like system like they have in RDO. But even then, ‘cheap’ stuff is still going to be more expensive than irl

 I know this may sound silly and ridiculous, but going back and checking out RDR1 scripts, I was surprised at the similarity between them and RDR2's.

 

It's not much surprising considering it's a sequel ofc, but new to me since we couldn't check the files at the time of its release until years after.

This leads me to think. We all know VI will be based off RDR2 from the leaks, but the scripts may retain a level of resemblance much like the case here with RDR1 & RDR2.

 

There's not much to speculate around V single-player. The last time it received new content dates back to PS4/X1 version. But we could speculate around GTA Online updates.

 

Behind the scenes, 2020's Los Santos Summer Special update changed the format a bit. With freemode scripts being made with new dev creator tool/s. Ever since that point, Rockstar utilized these new tools to make freemode content. There are so many of those scripts nowadays I can no longer fit them all in a single picture.

These new tool/s are more of level editors, part of the creator/UGC system, benefiting designers. But if those tools were more meant for VI and simply backported to GTAO, then there could be more to them than benefiting designers.

 

We know the raytracing and new menu UI on GTAV PS5/XSX version are seemingly backported from VI. So it wouldn't be much of a surprise if the same case were to apply to those tools.

 

Within Los Santos Summer Special update as well, an empty (obviously not empty in the dev version) "freemode_creator" script was added. Similar to the ones used for creating races, deathmatches and other modes. But in this case, is more made for freemode content where designers control placement of vehicles, props, NPCs and objects as well as their models. And what would NPCs do like patrolling or going to a specific destination and what type of weapons they have. And what scenarios would the NPCs be spawned with. Some guard simply standing while the other would be talking on the phone ...etc. While another guard would be smoking.

If those tool/s were meant for VI's, then Rockstar is integrating the backbone of the UGC/Creator system much into freemode that it might be possible for us to customize the freemode experience in VI's online.

 

This is where I could see them involving the role-playing community. Both Rockstar and Take-Two have seen the potential of role-play and wouldn't want to miss out on that if VI is set to last a decade ahead.

 

So, we might see Battlefield's Portal level of editing, or something akin to the creators we have in GTAO to allow for role-playing experiences. That's all.

I know that VIs story mode will likely be good. As a PC player can't wait to wait 1 year extra for PC version, but after that and another 6 months for them to optimize the game, to check out the mods people will be making.

 

Judging from all the decisions made by R* currently for both GTAO and RDO, it'll be pay to win, battle passed to high hell, with exclusive subscription services to attain vehicles that can be stolen off the street, but you won't be able to customize cause you didn't buy it from their exclusive 6 dollar club, when you already paid 70 for the dang game.

This is why I hope there is no cross play for PC players with Console players like me for GTA 6 online

If they seperate GTAO2 from GTA VI, like they should, and run and structure GTAO2 like an MMO, like they should, the vast majority of those hacking/cheating problems go away, just like how virtually all online games don't have the issues GTAO and RDO do.

 

If they don't do this then the alarm bells will be ringing day 1, cause that's just embarrassing if they run a modern online game like a peer to peer first person shooter from 2006.

You'd think they'd have already learned from GTA Online by the time RDO rolled around, but that ended up even worse somehow.

This is whats going to happen we are going to get a vice city themed DLC this December the content in the game will reference Vice city and the surrounding area leading up to a reveal between January 2024 and march 2024 with screen shots and trailer in the months to follow all leading up to a December 2024 release with per orders available 2-3 months before the scheduled release date. With GTA+ members getting early access 24 hours early to boost value

I did expect RDO to be structured better and while there were changes it wasn't enough.

 

That being said I have long believed that there was no real motivation on R*'s part to make RDO, it launched in an incredibly barebones state with it's only bespoke content really being the character creator, most if not all the rest of the game was retooled SP content.

 

I would hope with GTAO2 being something R* will be setting up to last 10+ years that this time around they make major changes to how GTAO2 is structured. Fingers crossed anyway and like I said if they don't then it's massive alarm bells for me.

It's all aby the money even if it means take a sh*t on the  customers to make a quick buck rockstar is likely hurting after the lawsuits and the pandemic financially which is why we saw GTA+ and the staffing shortages are likely the reason why there going to other companies with a better operating budget and a high staff percentage 

GTA VI needs to be a maga blockbuster hit otherwise rockstar will fold

I highly doubt Rockstar is hurting for money, considering GTA V is still to this day one of the best selling games every single month.

I hope if there are R* created gamemodes in GTA VI Online, we get stuff on-par with the new Assault on Cayo Perico, that is easily one of the best gamemodes they've ever made for GTA Online.

I fully believe the integration of the Cfx team into R* will have to do with being able to create much more complex modes, perhaps even user generated content for everyone to enjoy, so I do have some good predictions about things like adversary/game modes and so on.

GTA+ was a naked cash grab, especially with them removing content to then sell it back to us. Really sh*t move from Take Two.

 

I'm really hoping GTAO 2 doesn't have anything like that...but since GTA+ is gaining popularity (because people are stupid) I can virtually guarantee GTAO2' monetization is going to be pervasive and as predatory as they can get away with.

This might be kind of a niche thing on the wishlist, but for GTA VI I’d like to see a bigger variety of Fire Department vehicles. 
 

GTA V has an assortment of different police vehicles, including the Police Riot, the Riot Control Vehicle, the Undercover and unmarked LSPD and FIB Police Cruisers, the LSPD Buffalo, the LSPD Police Cruiser, and the FIB Granger. With Fire vehicles, you have………. A fire engine. That’s it. I felt GTA V lacked in that area. Why not have a tower ladder, an engine, a rescue squad, and maybe a Battalion Chief Granger? For me it would just add to the realism and it doesn’t seem like that would be hard to add, nor would it add a ton of dev time to make a reality.

Wouldn’t necessarily be at the top of my wishlist but just to add to that, maybe perhaps a Hazmat unit — unique vehicle model, like a yellow half ton pickup truck with utility bed and the fire diamond on it.  Wouldn’t even want it to tie into the story in any way, it would just be a unique touch.
