Can I play GTA V online without being in multiplayer?

I just want to play and actually enjoy the game without having to deal with hackers/griefers or being kicked from missions and heists because of my level. I want to progress through the game and actually enjoy it. Is it possible or do I just need to replay story mode. https://vlc.onl

yep, you just select 'invite only' online option from menu - you'll be solo just like in single player game... but some stuff is coop only

Select invite only. No griefers and performance is better. You can now do
almost everything solo. Invite 1-3, or more, friends to join for the few stuff that requires more than one player.

Also from invite only you can join other players for races, missions, and more and return to invite only when finished with the activity. It is also
easy to switch between lobby types and or sessions from the online
menu.
