Mr Philips
I've noticed that it takes a good few minutes to fly over there by an oppressor, same but a little longer with your personal car. So if you're driving at the in-game legal speed, using the in-game traffic lights and not jumping car queues, roughly how long in GTA time does it take to get from Los Santos to Sandy Shores? (I posted this in the GTA 5 second rather than the GTA Online second because both maps are the same)
Homicidal Hipster
Not that long if you take the senora freeway. Like 6 mins.
AC Schnitzer
In-game time? Around 1,5 - 2 hours? Depends on the car and route taken.

That would be usually by sports car or by speeding and cutting lines or by an oppressor. Are you sure it would be just 6 minutes, even by waiting in traffic and not jumping queues? 2 hours ago, AC Schnitzer said: In-game time? Around 1,5 - 2 hours? Depends on the car and route taken. I know it takes long when you use a taxi because the taxi drivers drive like morons (as they do in real life, LOL!), but I wounder how long it'd be in an average car like a sedan. R_DeSanta
In Fame Or Shame in one of the dialogues Trevor mentions Sandy Shores being a few hours away. Also, in Pack Man Trevor says driving from Los Santos to Paleto Bay will take about 4 hours. So I think going from Los Santos to Sandy Shores would take about 2-3 hours in GTA time. I'm not going to translate it to in-game hours/time because that's tedious, but yes roughly. I think an in-game is like 48 minutes so just do a conversion for numbers I list. If you're driving from the airport it'll depend. By freeway, maybe 10 minutes if you average about 60mph. Through the city without freeways, maybe 20-25 and mainly due to long traffic light cycles. From Vinewood? 6 minutes. From Mirror Park via Freeway? Maybe 4 minutes or less. GTA V is not that big. It's roughly the size of Forza Horizon 3's map, which I can cross going about 60mph in about 5-8 minutes or so. For comparison, I do regularly haul ass from the Casino to Paleto via the freeway averaging about 160-200mph (with modified reduced dragcoefficents) and it only takes 2 and a half minutes. Cut that down to like 80-100mph and it'd take about 5 or so. So yeah. This map is not really all that huge, even if you drive at regular speeds. It's probably why the NPCs drive at 20mph on country roads and 40mph on the freeway. To give the illusion it takes a while to get anywhere and that maybe you're going fast when you pass them, but to me they're just flat out being slow. I would also note that anything that flies in this game is slow as hell. Like roughly low 100's slow, even planes. Rockstar really has high drag for everything in this game to limit how fast anything goes. RedGold
I remember in the mission "Pack Man," where Lamar, Trevor and Franklin had to deliver the stolen cars and take them to Senora Freeway for Devin Weston, Franklin asked what time it'd take and Trevor replied, "In this thing? About four hours." Furthermore, I believe if they had driven a normal car (not a truck), they obviously would have taken less time to reach their destination.
