IceDree
Welcome to the fifth iteration of Looking back, Vehicles Edition. R* made some questionable decisions this year & left a lot of us dismayed to put it mildly. From HSW to dragged on dripfeed & some recycled packages, 2023 was a certainly a bumpy ride. Like previous years, I'm looking to hear from you guys & gals, of the 2022 collection what did you buy? what's your thoughts about them? & so on. Like last year, R* was generous with garage space, a whopping 50-car garage, but in a move not seen since 2016, R* decided to withhold the garage's release & chose to dripfeed it instead, "early next year" they claim. Unfortunately our pleads for more hangar space went yet again unanswered. To recap here's a list of the 2022 roaster: Spoiler Next Gen exclusives, aka E&E: 1. Karen S95. 2. Pegassi Weaponized Ignus. 3. Imponte Arbiter GT. 4. Coil Cyclone II. 5. Pfister Astron Custom. The Criminal Enterprise: 1. Buckingham Conoda helicopter. 2. Lampadati Corsita. 3. Bravado Greenwood. 4. Obey E-GT. 5. Benefactor LM87. 6. Pegassi Torero XO. 7. Benefactor SM722. 8. Declasse Drauger. 9. Imponte Ruiner ZZ-8. 10. Grotti Bricio Widebody. 11. Declasse Vigero ZX. 12. Dinka Kanjo SJ. 13. Dinka Postlude. 14. Obey 10F. 15. Übermacht Rhinehart. 16. BF Weevil Custom. 17. Obey 10F Custom. 18. Übermacht Sentinel Classic Custom. LS Drug Wars: 1. Annis 300R. 2. Överflöd Entity MT. 3. Zirconium Journey II. 4. BF Surfer Custom. 5. Declasse Tulip M100. 6. Declasse Tahoma Coupe. 7. Brickade 6X6. 8. Maibatsu Scout C. 9. Western Powersurge. 10. Karen Boor. 11. Willard Edura. 12. Classique Broadway. 13. Karen Hotring Everon. 14. Weeny Issi Rally. 15. Taundra Panthere. 16. Ocelot Virtue. 17. Vapid Taxi (OG vehicle). TL;DR: How did your collection change? What did you buy (both from MY22 & older)? What are you planning to buy from the remaining dripfeed vehicles? What did you sell? & What would you consider your "Vehicle of The Year"? Like always, I appreciate it if we can keep this constructive. ___ Related thread: [Vehicles] The Official B*tch & Moan Topic. Happy new year everyone! Vehicle of the year: Declasse Tahoma. As soon I got the exterior and interior color figured out, I got my slacker-configuration on it (no speed upgrades, only better brakes). Didnt even need to replace the stock wheels, which is extremely rare for me. I love every inch of this car, and it brings me great joy to drive it in this setup. While driving, tune in to the Lowdown 91.1. Take in the enviroment, and just enjoy cruising around with no rush. The rest of my collection changed pretty radical, and varies a lot (I have tried most of the recent vehicles, but only my Tahoma and M-100 remain). Sure I got a boat load of BF Surfer Customs, powersurge etc, but I dont do much with them. And a special shoutout to the Seminole Frontier and the Serrano Ive used a lot in this snowy weather, both great cars and I will keep them around. No its not the newest and/or the fastest vehicles, but it doesnt really matter because I dont race. Darekl92
Greenwood became my fav. I love strong mid 70s MOPAR vibes. It reminds me something like this, very late coke bottle era swan song muscles. Arrows to Athens
Glockler
Bought most of the vehicles this past year but my favourite of 2022 was the Granger 3600LX, granted it was part of a Dec 2021 update, but released in late Jan 2022. Overall a very solid model R* put in a lot of effort into along with a unique and closely resembling interior to the real 2015 Suburban. I must say I really enjoyed it. ddarko12
My top 3 are an easy pick and in this order: Rhinehart SM722 10F 2022 was certainly weak compared to 2021. But the ones that were good were really good.
Standard Deluxe 59
Car of the year for me is easily the new Willard Eudora. After years of pining for a late 50's American car for years, we finally get one. Of course, it's not likely to come out any time soon especially if they drag out the dripfeed like last summer... Remaining top 5: #2, the Classique Broadway. Again, cool old school American car #3, the Bravado Greenwood. What can I say, it isn't often that a malaise era boat gets added into any game. Too bad they took away the custom color for the vinyl top. #4, the SM722. A bit of a blast from the past from the TDU 2 days, a brand new interior is a nice bonus. #5, the Vigero ZX. I'm not a fan of the real modern Camaro at all, too small and poor visibility but I quite like it in GTA though not as much as the Gauntlet Hellfire. Honorable mentions: Dinka Kanjo SJ and Postlude, Pegassi Torero XO, Declasse Tulip M-100 and Tahoma, Annis 300R, Imponte Ruiner ZZ-8, Ubermacht Rhinehart, Toundra Panthere, Benefactor LM87 and Obey 10F. How did my collection change? Well not really all that much even with only 20 new garage slots (dripfed 50 car garage notwithstanding) added before the calender year ended. Granted it helps that I have a second account that like my main was stocked with Deluxo bonds... but I won;t bother listing that one's acquisitions. Irregardless, on my main account: new purchases included 1 Kanjo SJ, 1 Postlude, 1 Vigero ZX, 2 Greenwoods (1 later sold), 1 Rhinehart, 1 SM722, 1 LM87, 1 Torero XO, 1 Sentinel Classic Custom, 1 GB200 (before it got re-fixed), 1 Swinger (again before the fix), 1 Sentinel XS done up in the Xero livery, 1 Club won from the car meet, 1 Manana Custom, 1 Tahoma, 1 Tulip m-100, 1 300R, 1 Corsita, 1 8F Drafter and 1 10F. Cars sold include 1 Asterope, 1 Greenwood and 1 Omnis E-GT. Main second character: 1 Deity (the one with the unreleased gold leaf livery), 1 Torero XO, 1 Kanjo SJ, 1 Tulip M-100, 1 Tahoma, 1 300R, 1 Revolter, 1 Asea and something else I don't remember. Well i guess technically I added a couple dozen Deluxos on that character too but i didn't necessarily pay for them...
tsto
HNY! 2022 was a solid year for DLC vehicle releases, and of course we're not done with the current dripfeed yet. Choosing a favorite was hard for me. There were several vehicles this year that really struck out to me as enjoyable to look at and drive. I'd say my top 3 are (in no particular order): - Pegassi Torero XO [I love the new Countach model, I think it's extremely gorgeous and the rarity of it adds even more to the appeal] - Obey 10F & 10 Widebody [I put this into one because it's the same car with a thicker booty. I normally don't buy two of the same model, but I made an exception for a few along the way through the years, this is one of them. Audi R8 V10 RWD, fun car to take around corners.] - Bravado Greenwood [This 70s Dodge Monaco copy is more fun to drive than I had ever anticipated, and with the inclusion of Imani Tech and no special blip on the map, it was a great vehicle for safely traversing the often-toxic streets of public lobbies.] Runner Ups: - Obey Omnis E-GT [Imani Tech, no special blip, Audi electric AWD] - Karin S95 [HSW, modern (not latest gen) Toyota 86, nice car] - Annis 300R [Imani Tech, no special blip, based on the new Nissan '400' Z] --- I normally don't sell my personal vehicles, as you can say I am somewhat of a hoarder. However, I am down to about 2-3 open slots across my entire set of garages (and I have the maximum amount, including all business garages). So in a move I would normally avoid, I went ahead and sold a couple cars. One of them was the Cognoscenti 55 Armored, and the other was... hmm, I seem to forget, but it might've been the regular Maibatsu Penumbra. I am in need of the 50 car garage so I can add a few other toys to my collection that I've yet to purchase such as the Cyclone II, the SM 722 and a few others. --- From the current dripfeed, I'd say I'm looking forward to the new Ocelot car and Alpine A110S based car probably the most. I'm overall not too impressed with the remaining lineup for the most part. It sort of feels like they might be saving some more interesting cars for whatever comes after this DLC. But that might just be copium by me! Barrtek
CUTS3R
VERY DISAPPOINTING year for me overall except for couple of outliers being the Kanjo SJ, Postlude and Brickade 6x6. (The Karin S95 would be there if i was able to get a PS5 but alas im still unable to) Although i was initially happy about purchasing the 300R, it is ruined by its front end and lack of customization options. However Its performance and handling are nice enough that i still hvnt sold it yet but likely will as soon as it is comfirmed to become a permanent addition at the end of the dripfeed after all or not. I havn't bought any other vehicle this year as i had no interest in any of them. From the current dripfeed i will 100% get the Panthere. The Boor and the Issi rally are still up in the air until i can personally try them out. Any of the other cars i have no interest in them whatsoever. ForDer089
Hope everyone had great New Year. 2022 was horrible year of Dripfeeds. The 50 Garage is incredible but even that is dripfeed 2022 Vehicles that I really like: - Pfister Astron Custom (E&E Exclusive) I personally don't like widebody, however this one looks great. If I get PS5 I will definitely upgrade my Ruf Dakara build. - Omnis E-GT Much easier to drive than Raiden and Neon. Very nice car to drive in city. Spoiler - Declasse Vigero ZX Finally completed the modern muscle trio! Super fun and looks way better than Dominator GTX. Spoiler - Dinka Kanjo SJ Civic is always welcome. It also reminded me of GTA3 Kuruma (front design & rim). Spoiler - Dinka Postlude My favorite car of The Criminal Enterprise DLC. Very hard to drive but at the same time it's very cute and boxy. Spoiler - Declasse Tulip M100 Unbelievable that they almost copy & pasted the Vice City Hotring Racer livery. I also tried VCPD build. Spoiler - Brickade 6X6 Superior ramming power. Spoiler - Karin Boor (Unreleased yet atm) Always been fan of Brat. Wish it had trunk seats. - Weeny Issi Rally (Unreleased yet atm) Probably my favorite car of Drug Wars. I always wanted to see Countryman and other Mini cars. Don't like: - Pegassi Weaponized Ignus Looks stupid. - Grotti Brioso Widebody Horrible driving experience. Already sold mine. The angry headlight option was cute. - Obey 10F Custom When I saw the dripfeed picture of this car I wanted to do LMS build, however the widebody looks aweful and customization options are disappointing. Only Criminal Enterprise car I didn't buy. - Överflöd Entity MT Handling flag. My favorite car of the 2022 Spoiler Surprisingly, I found myself driving I-wagon every day & month during 2022. I prefer quiet, normal, simple AWD car with good cornering. I guess this is the perfect car that meets all these features. My favorite thing about this car is the fact that this is one of the most forgettable cars ever added, therefore it makes this car rarer than Multi-million dollar supercars (in GTA Universe obviously). I don't mind all the problems this car has (lazy interior, broken spoiler, broken lights and garbage top speed etc etc). Very relaxing car for casual driving no matter where I am. AUScowboy
I bought at least one of everything and have to say, have been enjoying the vast majority of them. Half my play time is spent running race playlists solo so I can test these cars out on custom tracks and tracks from Broughys community showcase. 5 laps of Mt Haan Circuit in the Postlude or any car really is my idea of a good time, competitors or not. It’s more about the feel of learning how each car handles. I’d say 2021 as a year had better vehicles, but 2022 brought some definite gems for sure. Very much enjoying the newer Dinkas and muscle cars we got with CE. For me 2022 will be the year that R* finally learned how to properly pad out a filler update with plenty of content, vehicles, activities, and weapons. Combined with the QOL stuff, I think I actually prefer a filler update over DLCs like AH or The Contract that are bloated with music over actual stuff to do. 2022 vehicular highlights for me: LM87, Torero XO, ZZ-8, Vigero ZX, the Dinkas, Tulip M-100, Sentinel WB, 300R. I feel like Im missing a a few but these are the immediate standouts. My biggest issue this year has been vehicle handling. They were on the right track with the adjustments they made with CE, but ruined the AH/SSASSS/AW cars again and nerfed the tuners a little bit once again with DW. Revert the tuners to their release day handling and apply a fix for the stance/drift tires issue that DOESNT affect top speed, rev, or ability to midrange boost WHATSOEVER. Remove the the problematic handling flags from the AH/AW/SSASSS cars, who cares if a few will become slightly OP, I’d rather that than have them drive and feel like utter garbage like they do now. I refuse to use most of these cars because they feel so crappy. They were on the right path with CE, I really hope they get enough feedback to move in that direction of fixing those older cars. We Are Ninja
Everything I bought in 2022: Karen S95 - Fast, but has serious traction issues. Pegassi Weaponized Ignus - Stupid fast, stupid gun. Imponte Arbiter GT - I hate muscle cars, but I like this one. Pfister Astron Custom - My favorite SUV. Lampadati Corsita - Everything about it was meh, but it was free. Obey E-GT - Understeering pig. Must run off AAA batteries because it's slow AF. Benefactor LM87 - Surprisingly fun to drive. Pegassi Torero XO - My favorite car of 2022. LOVE the bumper delete and insane exhaust. Decently fast for a non HSW car. I bought 5. Benefactor SM722 - Looked kinda cool. Grotti Bricio Widebody - Lotsa options, but meh. Obey 10F - Cool car IRL. Traction is meh. Übermacht Rhinehart - Issa BMW wagon. BF Weevil Custom - Bought it. Sold it. Obey 10F Custom - Super cool car. Great customization. Severe traction issues make its usability really low. Still bought 3, though. Übermacht Sentinel Classic Custom - I love M3s in real life, so I'm glad this car finally got some love. It's still slow, even as a HSW car. I bought 2. Annis 300R - Favorite Imani Tech vehicle. It doesn't have the best armor, but it handles fantastically. You can actually outrun people in it... And it looks fantastic. I bought 6. Western Powersurge - Quick AF for no reason. It's fast. Interesting Upcoming Cars: Karen Hotring Everon - Looking forward to it. My Hotring Sabre has been lonely. Weeny Issi Rally - I own 10 Weeny's. Terrible in free roam, but so cool. Looking forward to this one. Ocelot Virtue - Looks Interesting, but I dunno.
AUScowboy
^There’s a HSW for the Sentinel Classic WB? I forgot the E&E cars came out this year, S95 and Arbiter are great as new cars regardless of HSW, but the HSW Turismo, Sterling, and Hakuchou are standouts as the upgrades on those three are pretty insane. I’d love to see the Turismo R and GP1 in the next batch of HSW.

Hazzardtohimself
Last year my garages were hardly overwhelmed with new purchases, as there wasn't much in the releases that appealed. And any vehicles that I was looking forward to didn't warrant buying after I'd tried them out upon release! So my 2022/early 23 purchase list goes as follows: 1) Buckingham Conada - I'm a sucker for helicopters, and this is one of my favourites. Nippy, forgiving, and nicely customisable. 2) Declasse Tahoma Couple - obviously, got it free... and kept it. Nothing startling about it, it's just nice to drive and looks alright. 3) MTL Brickade 6x6 - technically free (bar the cost of the Acid Lab). It does the job, but could have easily been a smaller van or shack-in-the-woods. 4) Maibatsu Manchez Scout C - came with the Brickade... so, yeah. In terms of upcoming releases, I'm hedging my bets as once again there isn't a great deal that's got me excited. Maybe the Karin Boor and the Classique Broadway... but time will tell. Aquamaniac
Buffalo STX, new Vigero and new Ruiner are great, Arbiter is large disappointment for me, the rest I don't care much. I may have kept the Conoda Heli if didn't look like a flying p*nis. Edited January 8 by Aquamaniac
