Since this is my first post i figured ill make a topic on a very popular or more known as a *notorious* character, Yusuf Amir from gta TBogt I still play the game from time to time, its a gem. Also im so smart i posted the same post here in the wrong subforum, nice job me, what a good first impression Drunk Packie would make a better job than me. Personally Ive seen in multiple youtube comments and some older posts here (because i was lurking this nice forum before i finally decided to join it) that a lot of people find Yusuf annoying, ignorant, and stupid. Me personally, I love him. He might be ignorant to the american culture in some ways, throwing the n word around like a candy, a spoiled brat and a jerk to some but I gotta appreciate some traits of him: - He was always nice to Luis, maybe because he wanted to fit in - One of the only characters who did not make fun of Tony for being gay, maybe because he didnt know it - Was loyal to Luis - Helped Luis a lot especially in the last mission - Considers Luis a brother, or his *man* - His humor might suck to some but I love it - I love his apartment and the decor, to some its clusstered and pretentious but to me it shows some class - The man is a born comedian, hes literally a joke with 2 legs. - Didnt get that mad when his construction deals went wrong, and moved on cheerfully, maybe because hes rich and ignorant - Hes obnoxious and the helicopter landing in the middle of star junction made him look like a complete douche, but to me that was gold, it showed how much he doesnt care about rules and standards - Hes pretty honest and speaks his mind with no filter, especially when he told Tony at the end he would piss on people Am I riding his goat pecker too much? You bet. If i had a friend from the middle east, he would be my top choice. The amount of times this man would make me crap my pants laughing. billiejoearmstrong8 Posted January 1 Share Posted January 1 (edited) He's not a terrible guy but he has some very annoying and cringey habits, and is extremely spoiled. By TBOGT standards he barely makes the top 10 most annoying though lol (Mori, Evan, Armando, Rocco, Vince, Timur, Gracie, Margot, Troy, The Celebinator and all the "celebrities" you meet working at the clubs come to mind). As a character he's entertaining. Annoying in an amusing way not in a bad character way. With Yusuf, my first thought was appreciating how he's a mirror of how dumbasses in the east look when they imitate Americans. wise_man Posted January 5 Share Posted January 5 I've never found him that annoying either. I think it has to do with the rest of TBOGT characters. Most cast of TBOGT, such as Mori and Evan, are less-serious characters like Yusuf; and since everyone is annoying, people perceive Yusuf over-the-top antics as annoying too.
