There's a video I made for MOTY, since it's the first time I touch a professional video editing software the results were pretty bad but I'm hoping to improve my editing skills for the next DYOM event, also the timing was a bit harsh, playing all the missions and editing a video before January 1 was quite a stressful challenge, but it was worth it and I hope y'all have fun watching the video

 

 

I don't have much energy left to write a review for every single entry, as I wanted to do before, but I'll try to resume some of my thoughts about this year's MOTW winners.

 

Without a doubt, the most unforgettable mission of MOTW and the whole year was Raxo Comeback, it was a funny and unique experience.

 

However, after I played all the missions again, I decided to vote for Bloody Sugar by @zeko, because of all the missions, it is the one with the most versatile and entertaining mission to play, having a very high replayability value because of the good level design and excellent gameplay mechanics. It is by far the best mission of the list.

 

Highlight for zeko, who has managed to have three missions in the list and I believe that is a quite remarkable achievement. Another detail that I only noticed in zeko's missions after replaying them, is that his choice of soundtrack is impressive, well, unfortunately the volume is a little bit high sometimes, but other than that, the SD of these missions are almost flawless.

 

And speaking of interesting gameplays, we have the missions of @Yasir_RFL, which are always fun to play, but also has small flaws in some details such as enemies with very high health and some flaws in the behavior of NPCs. Still, there is no doubt that it was an outstanding designer this year.

 

The @M316 mission, Ballad of Cal, is also among my favorites, with a very interesting storyline and dialogues with British accents that besides being hilarious, it was a very interesting idea.

 

Two missions surprised me in this list. The first one was Pine's Killer, from @MassM, which initially appeared to be just a typical DYOM horror mission, and in fact it was not much beyond that, but some dialogues and plot twists, although a bit cliché, managed to entertain me during the play. The second mission was The Uncertainity Principle, by @mrfanboy, due to its tragic and touching story with a soundtrack that suited it well, however, the gameplay wasn't so entertaining.

 

2028 by @cwmyhb1 was a very interesting mission, and one that I really wish was turned into a MP.

This year's voting is sure a intense one, never see a lot people voting for their favourite.

Back in MOTY 2020, the competition was less crowded. Yet, my mission won it by one vote majority.

In any case, I will looking forward to see the winner for this year, 2022.
