I like this gen actually. Is it selling well in America ? It would be decisive for its level of integration in the traffic for me.

Also I think it can totally coexist wiith some new Bollokan EV cars, it just depends of the rarity, depending on the model.

 

There is some cars from GTA 5 that I don't want to see in VI like the Huntley S or the Glendale that we already know. Maybe it's time to put the missing IV cars that players like in the new game to alternate a bit. To be honest, I think that they failed a lot of designs in GTA 5, compared to before

The Volt was never a huge seller but it did okay. It did similar numbers to the Buick Regal and Volvo S60.  I was surprised they put it in V.

Maybe they thought, during development, it would take off like the Prius did around the time IV came out?

Wasn't the Volt one of the first electric vehicles? This would explain why it was added.

Nah man electric cars have been around as long as there’s been cars, but they were mostly one-offs or very limited runs from the early 1900s back when everyone and their mother had a car company. I think the General Motors EV1 was the first (semi) mass produced electric car?

I meant cars that were actually sold in relevant numbers in our days, the Golf mk3 existed as battery car but it didn't look different from the normal Golf. The Leaf 1 I think released about the same as the Volt and was the most sold EV for some time, so it would have been the better choice in my opinion right from the start, also looks quite unique.

 

BTW I'm no fan of EVs but that's no reason not to have them in GTA.

They don't always base their decisions on what cars are popular, they put an MN12 Thunderbird in IV after all. I'd be curious what their thinking actually was. Maybe they wanted an electrified car, but they wanted to leave the Model S for a DLC. Choosing the Volt over the Leaf is a no brainer in terms of looks.

The Volt and Leaf were the first affordable, mass-produced electrified cars. Before then, it was either novelty limited production runs (usually just for California) or expensive luxury cars like the Fisker Karma and Model S. To be clear though, the Volt is a plug-in hybrid, meaning it runs fully electric for 40 miles before the engine kicks in. The Leaf is fully electric.

True, but that generation of Thunderbird wasn’t brand new at the time of IV’s release compared to the Prius. Maybe they just thought Tesla would just be a flash in the pan and not really be much more than a one-off during V’s development?

Some of the early cars featured in V I feel should get completely new looks or not be in the game at all

 

The Adder shouldn't be in the game as we have the Nero, but the Nero should be very rare only spawning parked or driven in the rich areas 

The Cheetah should not be in the game at all I feel, I hate how it looks. I feel only the classic version should be in the game and have the Turismo R or the upcoming Laferrari successor as the main Grotti supercars

That's the wrong Pacifica though. The facelift made it look generic. The original design was way better:

I hate this with a passion. Always have. It looks absolutely ridiculous because it just doesn't happen IRL. Of course some people that are into customization do it, but there are rarely any muscle cars that roll out of the factory like that.

There's this whole list of principles for parallel universe building. Like unexplainable preference being replaced by another unexplainable preference, 2nd place becoming the pioneer, niche styling becoming mainstream. 

 

Maybe in GTA world, Volt came before Tesla, and it became popular because people in the in-game universe loved the American Dilettante. Another thing is how common the older Oracle is extremely popular among rednecks, kind of taking Lexus LS's place; and how gang members preferred streetfighters to dirt bikes unlike in real life. 

 

I personally like the idea of seeing slighting different vehicle lore than real life.

The older Pruis and Pacifica were actually quite popular in Miami ghetto. Adder is a GTA V classics, if they can refine the model and make it a eastern egg/rare spawn it would be very nice. Banshee YES. Such a classic vehicle for this series and it needs to be kept alive with a better and newer design. Cheetah yes, we need the OG Testarossa Cheetah, perfect car for Vice City.
