The "Awol Angel" glitch

Hey guys. Recently I started playing Vice and Liberty City Stories on my PC using an emulator, since they were the only ones I like but haven't played yet. Actually I played LCS on my android phone, and even finished the storyline, but on PC it's better experience. Lately I been curious if its possible to fly a helicopter in the game, and while reading on the internet about it I ran into a page about the glitches in the game and this one where failing the mission "Awol Angel" makes the traffic go even in the airport. It looks cool, but I wonder if activating that glitch can corrupt the savegame in some way, and that is the main question of my post. If someone knows if this corrupts the savegame, please share in this topic.
