9604
Hey everyone! I doubt anyone has an idea about this, but I'll try anyway. So for the past few weeks I've been testing various mods on my game, and so far so good. Except today, out of the blue, I noticed something. Now in my popcycle I set the traffic to be very low in East Hook during the night, so when starting the first mission it's 4am so there shouldn't be a lot of cars, I set the value to literally 1 from midnight to 4am. Except this time there is. That never happened before with my version of the popcycle, not even since I added stuff earlier today, so I was kinda confused. It also happens in the rest of the map up until a few minutes or if I set the time in another increment through my trainer. I tried to remove the last few mods I last added, to no avail it still happens. And even tho I run RIL Budgeted, there are a lot of cabs spawning now. Until the game *finally* remembers it has files and it should read them. But it used to be fine and I didn't need to wait for the game to load the popcycle. Anyone has an idea? I also have backups of my backups, and even when I run these it happens too. Some of em have like half the cars I now have, so it's not related. I even tried to run the game on another drive, same thing happens again. I'm at a loss, it's so random. This is on 1070 downgraded, been playing for months but not continuously, precisely for stuff like this. I had to take a break from the stuff that this game can randomly decide to do for no reason, and this is a perfect example. I've been searching for hours now for what it could be, but I just don't know... Edited December 28, 2022 by 9604
9604
Thought I'd give a followup, in case somebody else would run into a similar issue. I'll start by saying BACKUP YOUR FILES. Found this out a week or two ago, for some reason my popcycle had an entire line missing, even tho I did NOT touch the file for days on end and it was working perfectly. Apparently GTA IV likes to do the same thing as another game I used to play often before, which is to screw up something by itself... It was just that. Added a line according to the rest of my popcycle and it was fine. Edited January 17 by 9604
