Why is the Cayo Perico alarm going off?

I've got uniforms where the show up at the top of the stairs near the airstrip.  I sneak up, take out the guard, put on the uniform.  All good so far.  I go down to the area right nearby with a secondary target.  Still good.  Burn the lock.  Go in.  Start scooping the goods.  As soon as I start scooping the goods, the alarm goes off.

 

I used to be able to do this.  What's happening here?  There aren't any notifications about a body being discovered, and I'm pretty sure there are no guards that would see the body upstairs near where the uniforms are.

 

Are guards seeing through walls to see me start scooping?

Some guards and cameras appear to do so. Some actions trigger the alarm too, even in guard disguise, like stealing various vehicles in front of a guard.

 

PS: Since we're talking about the airstrip, I think the guard that walks around the solar panels and the camera at the power station can see through the walls, also take care for the camera at the barn with the loot, take out both cameras and the guard, nobody should find this guard.

First, notifications about dead bodies are bugged. You don't get them while you are looting something, but the guards will definitely find dead bodies.

Secondly, yes, they have been able to do that forever, at least for me. As far as I'm concerned, they can indeed see through walls.

Basically if any guard is near, especially if they are looking in your direction, and you get within their vision cone, they will know you are looting, even if there's a wall between.

Always wait for the patrolling guard to leave before you touch the loot. Watch the map for vision cones.

I'm pretty sure it's the camera spotting you.  I had this problem too, but when I shoot the camera out, I don't have issues.

So this is not only my suspicion but a matter of fact? I guess it is a bug and not intended? I don't complain that guards notice dead bodies now but I wish R* had also fixed this, would only be fair.

TL;DR as far as I'm concerned, guards see through walls using X-ray, nightvision, thermal, whatever. I think they are 100% aware of everything within their vision cone.

Could be intended, but not sure. Some of those "walls" are also only made of wooden planks with holes in between them. It's safer to just stay out of their sight cones.

Even if you have the uniform, as far as the guards are concerned, no one is supposed to be in those storages except El Rubio himself.

I have been busted just for being in a storage, not even actual looting. It was at the main docks, the storage with the camera on the corner, along the road.

A guard was approaching in front of me, I cut the lock while still outside his vision cone, that did not alert him, but he saw me inside through the back wall while I was waiting for him to pass.

 

And all that was before the Drug Wars update.

And of course, looting makes sound. Guards can hear you looting too.

I had this on my last heist. It was the guy up next to the solar farm. some guards have super x ray vision. he's one of them. i didnt take out the camera and was fine

OK, folks, thanks for the tips.  I'll give taking out that camera a try, and will also keep an eye on the vision cone of the guard that walks down to the solar farm.
