Using Enhanced VC Anims with Stories Sprinting

Hi, I was watching this video 

 

and i saw at 2:31 and 4:50, you are able to carry heavy weapons using the stories sprinting mod. But there aren't any tutorials that combine both, I tried myself and ended up crashing the game/and or just disabling the vice city animations. Is there a way to make this work? I used this version
