Did they nerf the Armored Karuma or are NPCs Buffed in Fooligan missions(using Missiles)?

Since this update (that did some under the radar changes), I been blown up in my armored Karuma a few times by npcs. This never happened to me before...ever. The worst I ever experienced was when I was having too much fun with the cops and over did it to the point I had to bail out on my way home because the engine started burning. The protection against bullets is still very good, but during a couple Fooligan missions when a npc helicopter was involved, I found myself suddenly blown to pieces. So my question is in the title. Karuma, or buffed npc combat? Or is this just my imagination? I can't confirm those were missiles that got me. But it sure felt like it. And I never seen an npc use missiles. Or is it the guns on those helicopters the npcs are using in Fooligan missions?

I believe one of the heli shooters has a sniper, heavy sniper presumably as I felt myself being shot by one during Crop Dustin' at Sandy Shores.

I got blown up in a fully armored Buffallo STX that is normally missile-proof by the AI but it was not a heli involved, so it doesn't affect only the Kuruma. In one mission an APC shot at me, this is new also I think. Can hardly remember the AI ever to use explosives.

Play some bunker resupply missions (specifically apc+valkyrie), half track bully/work dispute from MOC. You might get surprised by some OP valkyrie cannon/APC aimbot. NPCs started using them few updates back.

I did quite some bunker supply missions and all MOC missions, is it possible that the AI is more aggressive depending on player level? Other than the valkyrie and tanks at Fort Zancudo I cannot remember the AI using explosives of any kind.

There are a few missions where the Valkyrie uses the cannon. The worst I had it was when the Valkyrie was spawn camping me in the bloody Merryweather gun source mission for Cayo. Sometimes the damn thing won't land and it'll chase you to your spawn locations and kill you within a second of spawning. At least when it lands you can trick the (bullsh*t 360-degree) cannon to shoot close terrain so it kills itself in the blast radius.

My biggest complaint is that the anti-air defenses in the Dax Merryweather Depot mission will kill you if you're in the air. Doesn't matter what vehicle you're in. I've had some collision issues with the Khanjali that sent it flipping into the air long enough to hear the anti-air lock-on and getting destroyed.

As I know, the Savages in Pacific Standard - Convoy, the buzzards in Doomsday ACT2 - Rescue ULP, the Valkyrie + APC in bunker resupply missions (where there is insurgent not APC before finishing Offshore Assets), the Valkyrie in Cayo Heist Prep, all these are more aggressive. In this case, it is safer to sit in insurgent pick-up or any other strong vehicle that can suffer more missiles, rather than armored kuruma.

Edit: These conditions have existed for a long time. I do not sure if NPCs are buffed ever.

I assume the turret moved into an immovable object? That usually sends me bouncing around.

Someone on the forum suggested using an APC for that one and I tried it out tonight. Worked great, and easier to maneuver inside.

Yup. Turret catches on so much stuff. Especially when going through the building for the location in town. APC is probably better, especially for getting the target in the boathouse at the east coast location, but my character is just as lazy about changing seats to shoot a gun as I am at pressing a button to do it.

I use the Avenger for this one, works great.

To those who feel affected by the OP antiaircraft: do not feel sad, the boss in Yacht missions is shot down every time by their own AA system when taking off.

Two days ago I got the crop duster mission and went to the beach to get the plane with my armored kuruma.

Shot the enemies and then one wounded dude, who was lying on the ground one shot me with a pistol from half health while I was still inside the damn car.

Side windows on the Kuruma arn't armored and never were. With the right angle you can shoot someone inside through the tiny gaps in the doors.

The enemy was right in front of me and 20 meters away. I have died few times inside the car, but those times I didn't notice my health being on the red already and was shot from all over with assault rifles.

Now one half dead enemy kills me with one pistol shot through the windshield. Okay then :D

If true then its a bug, the windshield is 100% bulletproof.

Kuruma has unchanged collision with same old narrow windows that lie just above the target point of the NPCs. They always aim to the chest - but it's always protected by the collision, unless it's a stray shot from the shotgun or the Kuruma is tilted, allowing the NPC to hit their target.

There are also npcs with rpgs or something similar in some of the hangar source missions so this isn't entirely new. ;)
