Exactly.

 

Here's an idea. Daily multiplier. Every day you come back and play one of the update specific modes for points you earn a stackable points multiplier. 

 

Day 1: 1x

Day 2: 2x

Up to day 5 for 5x.

Miss a day, back to 1x.

 

It would incentivize coming back every day and also make 1000 level progression more reasonable.

You think they'd learn after Arena Wars but they went ahead and took a similar approach in Tuners.

 

It's really frustrating.

They used to do this with RDO's daily objectives untill they've noticed that people made way to much gold bars with this so they nerfed it to hell. I think Rockstar learned that lesson on their part.

I haven't been this hyped for an update in a very, very long time. Probably because the prospect of pegasus customization REALLY is something I've wanted for a while. Already customizing some of the cars in my head. Hope I'm not getting my hopes up too much, as it’s still only a rumor, but... crew black liberator with chrome secondary.

Agreed, that sounds good tbh, but if you missed a day, you have to start all over .

Still having 1000 ranks to go through seems insane and unrealistic. Tbh i wouldn't discard the fact that R* does this on purpose to be exactly unachiavable. This only encourages mods. I saw a few wearing a rank 1000 outfit from Tuners, 1 week after dlc release. xD

Yeah, but gold bars are currency. Points unlock stuff you can't buy with money or piddly discounts on stuff you can

 earning more points and levels faster means you are incentivized to spend more money sooner. It's not the same thing.

Hey, this is what the speculation topic is all about. Being excited, hyping yourself up, be disappointed and doing it all over again in the next DLC. It's like a drug and once you begin you can't ever stop because the community is too great.

Crossing everything but the streams. I'm more hyped about a custom personal Vetir or Barracks Semi than ANY new vehicle Rockstar could release this update. I don't want to support their decisions with shark cards, but... Rockstar MUST see the sales value of giving us probably 20+ old cars to buy and customize.

Oh, and they've met player expectations FAR more than not. If this forum is your only guage for the reception of GTAO updates, that's not entirely accurate.

A trailer would have been nice last week, but at this point? I can wait til the morning. The update actually being large and bringing nice stuff is my primary concern. My expectation is that it’ll be noticeably smaller than most Dec DLCs due to being split into two parts. I think it will be about the same size as CE but with less cars as some will be saved for part two, likely some weapons alloc8er mentioned as well.

Think about it.

We already know most things about the dlc, they already know they'll have a lot of players on day 1 of the update thanks to those extensive newswires they wrote on their computers, therefore it'd only make sense for them to wait until the player count drops and THEN release a trailer for it.

The Terrorbyte wasn't really central to that update... aka tied to the nightclub warehouse or anything. You could still do the majority of what that update advertised and was centered around whereas the Brickade 6x6 is actually tied largely to what this update is about.. these two aren't really comparable.

 

The Terrorbyte plus everything it added was more of a side addition to that update so it made sense that it was drip fed. That doesn't seem to be the case this time around.

 

The Journey being a mobile drug lab is total speculation based of what exactly I don't really know but as far as I can tell, the Brickade 6x6 will be our mobile drug lab and then we'll have a remote one as well tied to a warehouse/building.

Trailer - not sure, people are saying about 8pm UK time and the update usually drops for me between 11am and 12 noon on the Tuesday.

Tunables: 5AM eastern, 14.5hrs from now.

 

Newswire & possible trailer: 9/10AM eastern, 18/19 hours from now.
