Genuine shock if we don't hear a word more till it drops. If that happens this is by far the least marketing they've done for a DLC in years. They had a general cadence going for DLC info, this would completely change that

my guess is the reason no info is being released is so the content can verborate through the playerbase by word of mouth

 

which imo means this DLC contains a LOT of player requested interesting things

Also the first two part update R* have done in years so perhaps the change in marketing reflects that and is done intentionally

 

This is the probably the least advertised update since Arena War from what I recall but it definitely doesn't seem to share anything else with it.

What's the point of dropping trailer tomorrow when update will already be out? Yea they done it before but it doesn generate hype. And when they done it in the past years they at least released article with enough info.

Just to state the obvious I guess: the raytracing stuff will only be available for the consoles that got the E&E update right? (not that I have a GPU that supports RT anyway )

Trailers aren't just meant to be watched before the update releases you know... they're usually a good compilation of what the update has inside it so a person could just refer to that before diving into in no matter when they play.

 

People also like to watch trailers years later so R* waiting until tomorrow doesn't mean their sole intention of releasing a trailer is to generate update hype even though that'll happen anyway.

Just newcomers to GTAO or people that weren't around for it back in the day... there's been plenty of massive updates that received only launch trailers.

What a stupid thing to say, The Diamond Casino Heist also didn't have a trailer until release day and it was some of the best DLC in the game.

You could also buy property with arena war. Look how that turned out... We had story missions with casino and iaa this summer. Played a few times and forgotten by majority of player base. Let's just wait and see. I wish i'm wrong and be pleasantly surprised.

The ONLY thing I’m every hyped for in these updates anymore is the cars. Those, and the price increase to SR because the source missions for the hangars are actually quite fun imo. But like in my head, it’s another update based on drug trade…it’s at the point where they’re running out of ideas and these updates are going to gradually become soulless rehashes of previous ones
