They announced the radio updates (in detail) for The Contract the Monday before it was out and I personally loved that as the new music was right up my alley

I haven’t dipped below $70 mil since before covid started, I’ll be surprised if this DLC puts much of a dent into my current ~$140 mil. Man I hope the new rifle and SMG are something cool/worth owning. Cars too, I hope they don’t skimp on them due to splitting the DLC into two parts.

Cayo Heist and CE update has made making money quite an easy thing compared to the old days. But the way consuming money? Damn...

 

If I keep buying cars, it will be a mess when selecting them in a job lobby. I have to remember all my cars' English name so I can figure out where my car will be in the alphabet. But the speed selecting them is still SLOOOW.

 

Buying weapons? Not an option. Why? The same reason, selecting. Hiding them in a weapon storage does not work in a job.

 

Properties? I've got them all...

 

So it seems that I'm in a "Too much money" situation

I'm surprised people still find it hard to earn money in online. I haven't played since like June but I hopped on to get some extra cash. Made 3 mil just from doing a cayo perico and some solo bunker sales.

Well thanks to the pre nerfed version of Cayo Perico I'm already sitting on $251M so you can imagine how I'm going to do a moneh spend rampage this Tuesday

Did  say I wouldn't? But I do know that there are people that for some reason are against Rockstar expanding the soundtrack, for some reason. (same people, usually also complain that the radio stations got old and turned them off)

I have a lot of money but I keep burning it on other things aside from vehicles and property. Pvp is costly so I begin my session with a couple of CEO works to balance things out. I rarely have 10M in the bank. I think they most money I've ever gotten at one time was 20M and that's because I grinded Cayo over and over just to buy multiple 10F widebodies LOL

Hey man dont call me out like this.  
Id be upset though because i don't want to listen to any of the radios old or new, i prefer to binge yt while i play so the radio is distracting. Something about the soudtrack being expanded is utterly irrelevant to me.

I turned the music off completly because the radiostations they add are never the genres that i like. I would turn it back on if they add a metal station. But im like 99.99% sure they won't add a metal station so hmm. The music slider probably stays at 0 then.

Just about every game I play, I have music turned off. I just find it annoying and distracting 99.99% of the time.

Huh, no I was agreeing with you.  I said "dunno about everyone else" because many other people don't find soundtrack info interesting (as you pointed out, with... correct examples ) but I personally also do like that info because I want the radios to be expanded, or new ones pls.

I would pay 10 dollars to R*, if they would release a tool, with that i can convert my music into the format that the game uses, and put it into the self radio station. If there is no converting done while playing, the CPU cores wouldn't get uitlized so much. This way my cooler wouldn't go "vacuum cleaner" on me.

Being able to use our own music ingame would be so good. I remember doing this in gran turismo 5. And was to learn the ps4 didnt let you do any of this for any game.
Spotify is out of the question too since i mostly listen to games OSTs.

50 slots means 20 for Juggalo hideout and 3 new property slots  with 10 vehicle space each. Please R*, put 50% on HighEnd apartments n stilt apartments and give us Mansions.

I've been disinterested in buying most of anything quite frugal this year, so I think I'm sitting at about $140M. I'd have more if the dropped-frames hadn't made me rage quit so frequently after flying into buildings though! 

 

I think I'm going to sit quietly when it comes to launching into the DLC on Tuesday. I'll watch a few streams, get some impressions on the good and the B&M from here, and then check it out personally in the evening or on Wednesday. 

 

Honestly, I think the most fun comes from the image and data-dumps from our resident witches and wizards on the morning itself! There's nothing like sneaking a look underneath the wrapping paper when Rockstar probably won't let us open presents for a few months.

There was no mention of new radio in the newswire posts, but who knows eh? If we do it will likely be more modern stuff unfortunately. I think the brunt of the music licensing budget is being used for VI right now most likely. GTA is beloved for it iconic soundtracks and radio production, and licensing classic pop/rock is expensive. Still, for a company worth so much damn money, you’d think they would at least shell out to keep those iconic songs in the game permanently. Like Michael Jackson? I understand but removing Runnin Down A Dream from SA and 1979 from IV stings me every time I play them lol.

 

We've gotten quite a bit of new music added to GTAO, whether you liked it or not. Personally, if it came down to another new EDM channel or a couple extra vehicles, I’d pick the vehicles every time.

It's not just money. IIRC the Michael Jackson Estate for one refuses to license his music for GTA. And no amount of money could convince them because they're the f*cking Michael Jackson Estate. They already have all of the money. And they're not the only ones doing so.

Don't forget the pen drives that contain lots of new songs, but it must pass by without the casuals noticed it. "Pen drives? What are you talking about?"

I would enjoy that a lot, but i think they are reserving that for GTA VI. All the genre of Synthwave is just cuz some people missed the 80's sinthetizers and wanted to revive them with modern touches. Thus why makes more sense to GTA VI cuz Vice City cuz 80's memories (despite the fact that the game will be set in modern days).
