WTF did R* just do?

They made Toreador unusable in the original heists and the Doomsday Heist!

Now I can confirm, besides the original Heists and the Doomsday Heist, Toreador is also unusable in the Casino Story and ULP missions.

Let's hope it's just a bug and they will fix it soon.

Hence the question, but the meltdowns over DLC's like Arena War, LSSS, etc. were much worse and they've had much more disliked DLC's. We still have content to go with this one, it's just that some of it is... dripfed.

Honestly for me, i don't like theme, i don't like the delivery and you guessed it ... i don't like most of the lineup.
The 300R and the Panthere might be the only interesting part of the dlc. Not sure about the mini And the Boor yet, ill need to see the customization first.

Anything else including the garage i don't care at all.
It doesnt help that apparently all the vehicles we saw are it for both parts of the dlc.

huge DLCs every December

Ah yes, Import/Export was so huge that people found it a "useless grindfest" at the time (December 2016).

Ah yes, Doomsday Heist, which was indeed big in that case, but there were people complaining about the game going towards this kind of theme. (December 2017)

Ah yes, Arena War... everyone TOTALLY LIKED that update and its entry price! It was "huge", for sure! /s (December 2018)

The Diamond Casino Heist and Cayo I will give you, they were big and well-received but not without their criticisms.

The Contract? People said exactly what I said in my post. "Glorified contact missions", "boring 3 hour contact missions", "focus on music, this is Rockstar Games not  Rockstar Music!" along other things. Eventually people cherished it more, but wasn't as well received at first either. (December 2021)

So the rolled up paper weapon I saw someone get really worked up over earlier is actually an Acid Package. The delivery mission (or one of them, at least) works like the courier missions from SA. You ride around on the bike and throw the packages at peoples houses (specifically into a box)

Also one 60k supply buy got me 74k worth of product, but that is without the upgrade.

tbh the short newswire post on the update should've been a dead giveaway when you compare it to The Contract: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51ko98182a41o9/introducing-the-contract-a-new-gta-online-story-featuring-franklin-cli

3 vague paragraphs vs images of new content.

Don't even compare to CPH and the amount of trailers/hype

Iam playing the missions, first 2 where decent and the first cutscene is funny, but i SEE a Lot of people overwhelmed already...gotta finish to judge.

One note: if dlc's from now on are getting smaller, thats a sign that GTA 6 Will have more resources...if thats the case, people wanting GTA 6 should be happy, most of that people said that Rockstar should stop doing dlcs...those people should not come here and complaint about small dlc, that is what You wanted...sorta...

But Iam sure much stuff is locked in dripfeed so dlc might not be that small after all, we have to SEE....really pisses me off the new garage slots situation...My plan to Buy all vehicles day 1 is compromised

That's fair. I'm more talking about the absolute meltdowns coming from some over something that's really not new in the world of GTA Online DLC.

And let me tell you, regardless of how you see this update I would start expecting smaller updates in 2023 and beyond if they start shifting focus onto marketing GTA VI. I think it's gonna be a transition period everyone is gonna have to get used to.

Acid Lab feels like another Terrorbyte. Source/buy supplies and sell missions and delivery of the stored bike.

I am curious how much money you making from this new business? You making like nearly 1.8 million on Nightclub or same amount on Bunker for 1.2 million? Or 800k? Does new Business also connect to Nightclub? Just like MC business and other businesses

But the contract at least had a Purchasable property, it had Franklin :kekw: they didn't even bother putting a purchasable property besides a truck :cringekek: this mess shows Ron once and that's all

Honestly I think if this wasn't the case, alongside the Short Trips, the update would have been received much worse lmao.

Another question, if some consider this bad, what was the Contract for some then? People were complaining about the introduction of Dr. Dre, the focus on music, how it took like 3 hours to go through a contract that was allegedly boring and just a bunch of glorified "contact missions".

Well last winter brought lots of gameplay beyond just the Dre Contract which in itself was more than double the size of this First Dose. There were things beyond just the main story, stuff like security contracts, payphone hits & short trips -- all of which were entertaining and highly replayable, even to this day. From what I can tell so far, it had alot more day one content than Drug Wars too, new weapons, better launch vehicle line up etc.

From what I see so far (from a gameplay standpoint) the First Dose brought six new missions and a business to operate and that's about all. I feel like the last three winter updates definitely set the bar really high ūüíÄ

At the same time I feel like last winter's update was a hoorah of sorts to current GTAO before R* went all in on the next game and it shows. I feel like once they brought this game to current gen, they took alot of people from the GTAO team to work on VI and its online counterpart.

Not to mention the fact that they're still putting out updates for last gen may be holding them back from really going all out with them. Maybe we'll see an increase in the scope of updates these next two years once they drop last gen? It's also worth considering that these next two years may be the last for current GTAO (update wise) so it'd make sense to send it off with a bang.

I have not yet unlocked the lab upgrade (48 minute cooldown for each mission x 10 :kekw:) but right now I have ~3 bars and total value of ~140k.

Doesn't look like there's a new nc category for the acid lab unfortunately
