Classique Broadway Appreciation/Discussion Thread

For 9 years I have been patiently* hoping for the developers to add a Classique branded vehicle into the world of GTA V that isn't the Stallion - which isn't even branded as a Classique vehicle officially - and that day has finally come. The Stallion in GTA IV was the first and last vehicle in the series that was branded as Classique (if we disregard the beta Sabre GT), a whopping 14 years ago. Some GTA Online players weren't even born back then!

 

I will watch this thread with great interest.

 

 

If it's branded as a Declasse vehicle I will commit sins beyond tomfoolery and reason.

I hope the two Stallions will be a Classique and not Declasse, after all the new car brands and the return of Willard (that still needs more cars for that brand as well), it is a matter of time to bring back Classique finally after sorta botched way with the return of the Stallion

Nice to see rockstar bringing back the classique brand. Seems like brand accuracy has been in their radar a lot more since the tuners update, i cant remember a single inaccuracy.

I hope it comes as a stock model by default and not a taxi cab. It looks cool but won't be a keeper for long if I can't ditch the taxi sign.

Since this is a place for Classique, let's talk about cars that suits the brand I.e. Oldsmobile 

Also, cannot believe Oldsmobile is 18 years old since its been defunct, I feel old now 

 

But speaking of cars, I love to see the Delta 88 hence its been in Evil Dead and Sam Raimi's movies as well as it is the directors car as well

I agree, supercars are cool and all, but there's just something about a classic from before the EPA passed it's emission standards act...

I hope we get this before Christmas. I can't explain it, but I'll try. I think having seen A Christmas Story 1000x times, the 1940s and Christmas are basically tied together for me. Combine that with Mafia IIs winter section and the idea of driving a late 30s early 40s Oldsmobile in the snow excites me a bit.

I love supercars and all, but this is GTA at the end of the day, not some Forza, GT, NFS or any of those racing games, anything goes even their an ugly ass or as gorgeous as ever, anything goes

Making the Stallion a Declasse is a huge mistake on Rockstar

Yeah. It's clearly a Oldsmobile cutlass mostly

I think R* learned their lesson with the JB700, don't lock customization options on a cool vehicle.

 

this'll probably end up being like Dynasty, where the taxi sign is a roof option and the paint job is a livery

And it's easily fixable, like half the work is already there and done they just need to change some text strings to make the Stallion be properly rebadged as a Classique. Even the game police calls it a Classique.

 

Remember how the Rumpo used to badged as a Grotti for some time? A similar 5 minutes fix can be done to it and its enough.

Yep, and the Sabre Turbo is a mash-up of the Chevy Chevelle, Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, Buick Skylark in the front

Yep, easy fix, but dunno why it's taking Rockstar this long to change something as simple as this that can only take 5 minutes or less to do, and could of been done a long time ago, I don't get it

It'll have much more power than the dynasty, being powered by a Straight Eight instead of a four cylinder, though the weight probably puts it in the same speed range...

I Know. We've owned a 70 Buick skylark GSX in real life. I wish the sabre turbo was more skylark GSX tho

Yep, I wished the Sabre Turbo looks more like the Chevelle or have it as a Willard car tbh, but hope we get a proper Skylark and Chevelle at some point

We are getting a early 90s Skylark in GTA VI, as seen on the leaks, with the rear wheels covered and all.

 

And we already got a proper Chevelle, it's the Tulip...Yeah it's a 4 door Chevelle but the mods it has can turn it into a SS with two extra doors.
