Vicetopia
Try downloading "SnagIt" It works very well. Here's a link... You have to pay for it. But, if your resourceful, you can find ways around that But there is a lame shareware version if you don't want to "buy" it.

DigitalResource
Snagit is no good, honestly I tried it. The best and fastest way, is Fraps! You need to set your resolution to 640x480 and it will capture like a charm, note that it saves as uncompressed .avi (this saves CPU, but fills your HD very fast.) You can then encode the movie(s) with Virtualdub or something, choose a nice codec like xvid or divx. Too bad my webserver is offline, otherwise I could upload a sample. The only downside is that it won't record audio. http://www.fraps.com

Vetinari
You can record as high-res as your app wil allow, but eventually you'll have to encode to sthing like divx anyway. And at that point you're going to have to resize anyway, so i don't really see the point of capturing at some ludicrous resolution to begin with. But do whatever you like best, of course
