Hi ive just been playing gta online on playstation and i was hoping to change my career builder, i know you can change character but i wanted to go from ceo to nightclub owner etc. ive seen that once you pick a career it can never be changed unless you create a new psn account which i dont want to do, is this still correct today?

Correct. If you want a new business just purchase it. The career builder is just a fascade for new players.

Career Builder is a one time thing, so you can't change your path on the same account.

And yeah, you can choose different path on other accounts AFAIK.

As a Day 1 player, I had to look up what Career Builder even is.

 

It's just the tutorial nowadays, and thus, you don't have to worry about it.  It's just there to guide you down the path of the years of content, and get you started.  There is nothing stopping you from being a CEO and a nightclub owner or a gunrunner.  In fact, you need to be either a CEO or Biker Club President (which there's nothing stopping you from having both -- you just can't be actively registered as both at the same time) in order to run a nightclub or do the gunrunning.
