If I purchase a Cayo Perico heist within 72 hours (irl) and then wait more then 72 hours (irl) to complete it will the secondary targets still have a buff or no? Or is the only way to keep the buff by finishing the heist inside the 72 hour window.

 

The heist values are set when you buy the heist and will not change, not after 72 hours, not after 72 days.

Out of curiosity, how much money is the panther statue worth? Reason I ask is because if it's $2M (or close to it) then I might would be willing to put myself through another CP heist. I've beaten CP a couple times before, but I really loathe some of the setup missions, hence why I don't grind CP even though it's the best moneymaker out there.

When you pay setup the primary loot is already set. You need to either finish heist you set and pay setup again to scope panther or cancel your heist if you can and pay for setup so you can scope panther.

Yeah, if you paid before this week then it won't be Panther. Just speed run your current heist if you don't care and set it up again this "week" (more like 3 days) to get the guaranteed first time Panther.

Just completed my CP today. Noticed the Nov 21st limit to get the Panther again. Ah well, another good payday ahead. That 100k bonus for those 30 ocean- treasures is laughable. I ain't doing that. A 40K Headhunter takes me 3ish minutes to complete. LOL. I ain't diving/looking for 30 crates on the bottom of the sea. Now if it was 1M, I would perhaps consider it. Then again a CP takes about 1Hr to complete, takes less time and hands out more.  Perhaps I'll unlock the Velum option for CP this week. Perhaps it's time to leave the island with dry feet for a change... 🙂

Got the panther statue and my first Elite Challenge completion in ages at the same time, so that's nice.

forgot to post but finally got my first panther

turns out i had to cancel my previous saved heist to spawn it, no wonder i kept getting tequila

It was on board of the aircraft and early into the long flight south that the alarm was heard. A vast shockwave from a direction not known then pulled everything into the unconscious. As I regained consciousness days if not weeks later, I was rolling down a mountainous hill in a slowness of steady which almost could be conceived as hilarious. It could have been steeper, I contemplated, amidst all of it, but then again of a vastness beyond comparison. A dream this must have been while second sleeping to the camera view in the heights, which for some reason had come to traverse the land and sea infinitely.

I still have mine. Sounds like you ran into some bugs.

Which platforms for both? Maybe it's behaviour that changed in current-gen? That said, I also did someone else's Cayo run that had a panther saved (PC) and it worked fine.

I'm on PC too. But probably he has the same issue like the guy few threads below, where cayo preps reset without saving. My guess if he reruns scope out, panthers should still be there. Unless paying 25k doesn't force save either?

Just to be clear, did you also have to pay the 25k fee again? And then there was no Panther but something else?

Or did it forget that you did the scope and preps?

I went to the screen and it had reset to the initial setup showing I had to do the scope out mission again. I had only done the initial scope to confirm panther as a target. 

 

Others are saying panthers are still there, and I'll have a look later.

 

For clarity I'm on OG Xbox One.

Ok, then I guess the game didn't save properly when you returned from the scope.

If at least the heist was still active (no need to pay), there should still be a Panther Statue waiting for you.
