Cars to say goodbye to: a Collector/Hoarder's dilemma

That 50 slot garage kinda needs to come asap.

All my garages are full, but I dont mind the money that Im losing with selling or simply replacing vehicles.

 

All those damn custom paintjobs I made are lost as well, which is a shame.

Smart plan. Yeah I'm happy about the upcoming 50 car garage but also don't appreciate the lock behind the dripfeed of it, when clearly a lot of long time players and major grinders are running out or have run out of space. I won't rush to fill it up. I may buy a few cars that I held off on buying and some that I might've sold at some point to make room, but I'll probably have plenty of storage room left after this update releases all cars. My dilemma is gonna be how to arrange them once again when this new garage comes in  I'm also not particularly thrilled with the lineup we have for this update. The selection of cars is hit or miss for me overall. Ones I don't particularly care for I'd probably wait until there's a sale on.

I hate when they do that. It was the same issue with the Apollo-based car, the Tyrant. That thing is massive, and looks completely horrible sitting next to any other car in the garage due to that, and is why I never bothered picking it up. It honestly makes no sense, and feels as though they didn't properly take the time to make sure to get some reference for sizing.

It really does kinda suck when you have to give up a car you made a custom crew color for, just to make room for others.

 

QoL wish for the "upcoming" Rockstar/GTA Online Garage system they're developing and for GTA VI: Allowing custom license plate changes (unlimited, not a measly 30,  or removing the damn anti-cheat for plates so we can safely delete license plates and not get falsely flagged), custom paint RGB system either built into the game or more easily altered beyond the basic variations in the editor, and allowing to paint stock rims for f*cks sake. Things that should've been implemented years ago.

i dont struggle with any cars at all. i have one golden rule since i started playing gta 5 back in 2014. "If you dont like a car anymore ,sell it!" its not a matter of how much i use it.

 

i have cars i have not driven in years but i will never sell those cause  i either like them enough to keep em forever or i have some connection to the car ..like my zentorno..my first super...never selling it.

 

In the last week alone i sold my:

 

Hellion - i dont wanna know how much i spend on respraying it ..its alot and it never looked good to me.  it had to go, 

 

Trophy Truck - loved it when i bought it, used it alot but im not into this type of offroad vehicle anymore. it looks cheap with the livery on it..

 

Invetero Coquette BlackFin -  just dont like it anymore. 

 

 

bought Patriot Mil Spec, Drift Tampa on sale (no livery,all black with red headlights looks so good) and the Infernus Classic thats also on sale rn.

 

i really dont care how much money i lose as long as im happy with my cars.

Yeah the quality of updates haven't been great this year, probably a sign of things to come as we get closer to GTA6. There are some well designed cars that appear to be passion projects by the devs (new Classique and Willard) but they aren't highly requested by the community. Then we have 4/8 cars during launch week which are just custom versions of existing in game vehicles, not even new variants. Personally, I feel the 50 car garage is a gift for leaving last gen behind at some point next year.

 

I think the finally property that we get is a mansion for current gen/PC.  Specifically the Richman Mansion given that we eliminated the previous owner during The Contract - Ben Brookes. R* could provide a 30 car garage and then update it with new levels, rooms and build upon it in future updates. Regardless, I hope they take all lessons learnt when making the finally property for GTAO before setting sail for GTA6. Could you even imagine that, after 9+ years we have a fixed amount of garage space and all vehicles have been added?

 

Now that you mention it, there were hints of a R* webpage called 'the garage' and given the ifruit app has been discontinued, R* did state that there will be a new way of making custom license plates in the future. I think we may get the webpage launch alongside the 50 car garage or .... it could be included in a small Spring update. Something like GTA Online: Los Santos Customs which also includes HSW for PC as well. Just a few cars and HSW upgrades for existing ones, more chameleon paint jobs and the website.

I'm not a fan of the supercar class at all or or the majority of the sportscar class. That leaves a lot of open space for other stuff. I think those are 2 classes that eat up a lot of peoples collection space. In recent years I haven't needed to get rid of anything for something else since there is plenty of garage space for my needs and can still get more when needed.

Yeah we should just have the custom license plates as an extra option (maybe with the car insurance option).

 

And yeah it annoys the sh*t out of me when I need to ditch a custom painted car, but I have a small database nowadays (but with no pics, so meh).

About 95% of my cars have custom colors, so yeah its a bit difficult to bring that list up to date

Maybe when GTA is running out of content again (after the last dripfeed, or near the last one) I can try to create a full database (which will contain all garages full, so about 100-150 cars with different paints).

 

Oh damn, Im kinda excited for that moment so I can put that new 50 car garage to good use!

Regarding the upcoming 50 car garage, and given the fact that I've no slots left after winning the Journey II at the podium and getting the free Tahoma Coupe, I've been checking the vehicle roster to see what vehicles (those previously ignored by me and the ones from the last update I still don't own) could be new additions to my collection in the near future. It makes a list of 40, being really generous. There will be at least 10 slots left for the next update(s) and a pile of "meh" vehicles that wouldn't be hard to sell if needed. 

 

This big ass garage is much more than we hoarders were bargaining for but also feels like endgame all over. Kind of weird situation.

sold the Specter Custom today...

just not a fan of the car as a whole. even i dont know why i bought it myself lol.

 

replaced it with Comet S2 Cabrio btw.
