I ain't gonna lie. I feel like the next time we could receive some news or an update is around June or July. Likely the latter.

 

If Rockstar were to tease anything GTA6 related within GTA Online around September or October, it has to be included with the Summer update. And Rockstar is very aware of us dataminers. 

 

But if Rockstar were to reveal they would celebrate GTA Online's 10th anniversary and provide news on the next title, then including a random event or an activity teasing the next title, like how Treasure Hunt was RDR2 related, won't be as bad as not saying anything prior.

 

Edit: I must be lucky that from time to time I would post after a long while to end up as the first on a new page.

Also for Passive Mode, I really hope they use the current system for the next game, just remove the "ghost" effect, I know it's to distinguish players but it is really jarring to look at.

 

I have been in some car meets where I was in passive mode and others weren't so all their cars were semi-visible, which kinda ruins the whole point of the meet.

As far as the futuristic stuff most of that stuff really hasn’t been a major thing since the doomsday heist..players aside , the overall content for GTAO as been more grounded for the most part since then

I just rewatched the leaked clips for the first time in a couple of months, and all I can say is I can't wait to play it

 

 

Tbh I find it highly likely that  GTA VI could be announced around the 10th birthday of GTA V

I always thought any cross-promotion stuff won't have to be there right as the game got announced, like with RDR2, the Treasure Hunt was added with the Doomsday Heist update, which was a year after the initial announcement.

 

I also don't think Rockstar is going to "tease" GTAVI through GTAO, at least not initially anyway, I think they'll reveal it the traditional way and then maybe start dropping little teasers for us in game after.

 

We'll see though.

I really don't think GTAO is built for these kinds of stuff, I know Fortnite does it but Epic and despite the huge datamining base they got there, still encrypts stuff they want to keep hidden (at least back when I was actively playing the game).

With GTAO, you can guarantee a video will be posted online as soon as the update is live, which just doesn't work for that kind of marketing.

 

GTAVI will probably be revealed the traditional way.

Damn I bet they would actually get some sales if they made the trailer only available in-game for like the first week. Probably not enough to be worth it for them but that would be an amazing way to see it the first time

Me personally I hope they don't reveal the game through an in game method or GTA Online - I'd much prefer a traditional announcement in the form of a tweet or whatever.

Now that the Vice City TV show is confirmed to not be about GTA Vice City at all, I legit think 50 Cent just googled "Vice City" to tease his show without knowing the logo was from a game  that's why he removed it later, the lawyers probably screamed trough the phone

He had posted that vice city logo on his twitter/instagram teasing something, and it's just a tv show unrelated to gta it seems.

I like the idea of an in-game reveal, but considering the hugeness of the event it probably should be done on a more universally accessible platform. I was thinking though, it would be cool if GTA online 2/Vice City incorporated real functioning movie theaters.  They could show certain films in the cinemas for a set amount of time, and then after a few weeks or a month switch them out for new ones. They could show films with certain themes, like ones that inspired parts of the game or new dlc. They could show horror marathons in September and October. And they could show B movies and forgotten classics, which would help fill out the playlist and keep things affordable from the licensing end.

Anyone knows if the vercetti estate will be returning or not? It is literally one of the 3 places I hope will return along with malibu club and ocean drive hotel. Also some kind of Tommy Vercetti tribute should be there.

Especially since if you type Vice City on the google search bar, the results and images are all about Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, so it’s not like he wouldn’t have known about the game.

The Everglades will be scary af on GTA 6 and I'll explore it day and night looking for scary stuff.
