I'm almost sure quite a lot of the vehicles in recent DLC are from GTA VI, one of them even has an unique interior (SM722) that isn't in any other vehicle, which is not common for R* to do even for new GTA Online vehicles. It would make complete sense too, it's not like they're showing us every single car and spoiling surprises or anything. GTA IV TBoGT had early versions of GTA V cars in it.

 

As for them being in "common traffic" in VI, yeah, I'd say so.

Some could be but those like from tuners, or some that are way older for example I can't see them being common traffic but spawning rarely. It depends which car. Maybe I'm wrong.

They don't look like common traffic to me, these old and the modern (super) cars they added in the updates, that's why I am saying this.

They don't all have to be common traffic. Many could be rare vehicles still.

If we're getting VI cars in Online DLCs in V, I can only imagine these cars will end up being completely ignored like V's baseline cars are. Seeing a Charger in real-life is nice, seeing one in V, which was brought from IV is easily forgettable. Rockstar are already shooting themselves in the foot by dropping the "coolest" cars from VI, because they'll be stale by the time the game gets released.

Most of the recent cars over the last 2 years are already stale, because they're almost all slightly modified copies of already released cars. The Comet is the biggest example.

How many more unique ideas can they possibly have as far as cars go, without going insane with futuristic weapons or something?

They did mention before they wanted to go the Fortnite route for map updates and content, I think this is their way of doing it, slowly merging cities and states together. We’ve seen brand refreshes and now cars that seem to exist in both cities and when our characters get to Vice City a lot of things will be familiar

There are super and sports cars parked all along the strip in high end shopping districts irl Miami. They don’t have to be “common” vehicles to spawn in traffic, as they have variables in place to ensure they spawn with rarity and in the correct locations. I’m certain more vehicles will be reused than you’ve been lead to believe.

I forgot we're talking about Miami :kekw: Had in mind how cars spawned in other gtas, some more rare than others but that was a bit of past..

(Also because I'm from some place in Europe that doesn't have such ... )

You're right there seems to be super cars in many videos I see of downtown Miami.

What they should do is have a contest where they have player built maps, and the winner gets $50K and has their map be officially used in the game (of course after undergoing some polishing by Rockstar).

I honestly wonder how long until games don't run at 60fps even at "performance" mode anymore. It's easy for all these recent games because they also get released for old gen. The Hogwarts team were smart to delay the release of the game on old gen consoles by a few months, and the Switch version even longer. I have an 1080p tv, and honestly, performance mode is more than fine. I tried playing at fidelity however and the 30fps actually bothered me, something I didn't think was ever going to happen. FFXVI is one of the only few "next gen only" games that's coming out, and even that will have a performance mode, which is nice. I hope that lasts for the entirety of the consoles cycle.

 

If GTA6 has a performance mode that runs at 60fps then that means my PS5 will be able to run GTA6 better than my PC runs GTA5. Which is something.

I will be probably end up upgrading my GPU shortly before GTA 6 comes out, but at this point I have RX 5700 XT which is pretty much PS5's GPU minus RT support, which is still not a bad card.

 

Console players really got used to performace modes since 2020, and it would be a shame if new games ditch it, but then again GTA VI will be very big, complex and ambitious game so we don't know what R* will do.

Honestly, the gen after this one, (PS6 etc) should just have a 60fps mode with RT as it's only mode. Assuming it's going to be released around 2027 or something, RT should be mandatory.

While I think 60 fps mode might be default next gen, RT is still extremely demanding, especially on AMD cards.

 

Not to mention RT is extremely heavy not only on GPU's but on CPU's as well, getting even modern i7's to 100% usage in some games :/

 

We will see what future brings, maybe next consoles come out even later than 2027 to offer a bigger jump in specs.

I think that depends on the game and type of RT. I played RE2/3 Remake, RE7 and RE Village completely maxed out at 4K with RT getting about 50-70 FPS and although I have a good CPU (Ryzen 9 5900X), my GPU is mid range (3060ti) and I’m only using half of my VRAM lol

Resident Evil games have pretty small areas, and pretty light RT implementation. Cyberpunk 2077 has been fixed and optimized and RT in that game is still very expensive, but looks damn good at max settings.

 

That said RE Engine is great and I'm looking forward to RE4 Remake in 2 weeks :)

My biggest fear about VI is that they'll limit all of the map extensions and content to GTAO only and abandon the single player game like they did with V 😥

These are the world events from the leaks at no 736 it is written "Scarface crime scene". As far as I remember this was also an easter egg in GTA VC and kinda proves the return of chainsaws?

Also in 388,389,390 there's PGH train station, train station 2 if we assume PGH is Port Gellhorn, then this place should be kinda big with railroads and can also give away the real life location it's based on.?

Yes Port Gellhorn is huge, probably as big as Vice City if not bigger, and the train station part is still hard, as Jacksonville has a train station too as well as a couple other cities afaik. Port Gellhorn seems more like a country’ish town though so I guess you can use that alongside the train station to help connect the dots

The saddest thing will be when we finally roam the streets of Vice City and we already know most of the cars.

 

I remember seeing an Infernus for the first time in IV. Until the end that car was super rare and special. I had to drive it when I saw it.

Or the Super GT, an actual good looking Aston Martin (something that has yet to come to GTAO, every Aston is ugly and weirdly shaped).

 

I fear in VI it'll be like "Oh, look, a *insert GTAO supercar here* ... anyway"

Why they wouldn't add one. Like character could get ship/plane and skip trip, like with GTA San Andreas Airport fast travel worked.

I’m not debating fast travel because that’s really the only logical option to travel to an entire different location if that will ever be case but in reality we’ll be in south Florida for the next decade :kekw:
