All I remember seeing is that it got cancelled twice and it's very unlikely they're working on it but here's hoping they started it again third time and it comes out along with GTA VII and RDRIII

Before this becomes a full-on argument for no reason, it's okay to be cautious but those people also have to realise that most others will still preorder the game and it's not those warnings, especially in a hardcore fan forum, that are gonna do anything. Both things are okay. If you don't wanna preorder sure, but those who want to will do it anyway.  Sure, "could be bad", "could be" this and that - "could be" also that you die tomorrow - but tbh with R* that hasn't quite been the case yet and no, opinions about GTA Online don't count for this, GTA V was/is still a critically acclaimed game by itself.

 

Plus it's not like digital retailers don't have easy ways to refund games these days anyway. This doesn't need to be an argument.

We'll be lucky if Vercetti Estate is still standing in modern day Vice City. Obviously 3D and HD universe don't mix (with some exceptions like brands or radio hosts), but I guess that Tommy's mansion could be present in modern day VC. After all it's just a building, many of them known from 3D era Los Santos appear in GTA V. Most likely Tommy's mansion in GTA VI will be owned by some unknown person (and impossible to explore) or abandoned. It would be nice Easter Egg if we could get inside and discover Tommy's office with his words "Tommy Vercetti, remember the name!" written on the wall.

I think there'll at least be a reference with a similar mansion, not just the mansion but perhaps other GTA VC references

I used to pre-order games years ago so I could get them incase they sold out. Now, in the digital age, I wait and see if it's any good then just download it if I fancy it. Imagine they said it was sold out on digital

Pre-ordering digital lets you pre-load and play the second the clock hits midnight. If we like GTA enough to regularly post on a website called GTAForums for 10+ years, we're kidding ourselves if we say don't want to play this game as soon as possible, even if the difference is only a few hours.

I really wish that they'd let people like me who buy physical games pre-load the day one patch, it sucks ass to go and pick up a game on launch day, get home and then have to sit and watch a 50+ gig download before you can play.  I know companies want to do all they can to encourage digital purchases, but it wouldn't kill them to throw us a QOL bone like that

I don't know if Playstation has something similar but if you're on Xbox you can use the Xbox app to preload games you don't digitally own
