If they was to implement fuelling your car/bike I'd imagine it being something like your horse in RDR2 and how if you neglected it you'd still be able to use it perfectly fine but it'd massively underperform compared to if you kept it clean and fed.

 

Even though it'd be a nifty little gimmick I really doubt Rockstar would allow your car to run out of fuel and die from just running it, really hope they bring back and maybe even increase the odds of gas tanks being pierced and leaking like GTA 5 though.

Fuel ay, well imagine quarter tank half tank 3 quarter tank & an option for full. Every 1 will get full. Unless you are chasing some 1 you get the quarter option. An instance of what could. Missions you are to get a tank plausible id say, the fuel tank on the tank is well huge you car is considerably less. Hence then you have to get some fuel in order to get to the tank & b4 you loose sight omg right. Online you have a full tank of fuel 3 others from online are now chasing you ass after you shot 1 of there group. It's an interesting prospective id like to see it as long as tanks last for a long time. Tho i don't see this happening as you'll need a visible indication either dash to see it or on screen say under the weapons star section. So yeah no. I don't see this happening at all. For a mission i would love to see it. Lets say safe house bye that fuel options to. Get full tank as you enter install bigger tanks slows the car down tho. anyway.

Realism is cool, but I think fueling isn’t something that would necessarily enhance gameplay in anyway. Look at gta online for example, people have hundreds of cars stored, imagine having to keep up with which ones have gas and everything Lmao. Sounds like a headache tbh.

I want to start speculating about the melee combat, I want it to be very similar to that of RDR2.. really if there was a boxing ring it would be a great mini game

They could have it as an option.   And for online it could refill everytime you put it in the garage.

Maybe I am just being paranoid, but I am worried because in the leaked footage, there were two clips where we saw Jason puching someone, and the punch looked very generic like GTAV melee combat and the NPC barely flinched or moved after getting punch. I hope it's just that they haven't finished the melee combat yet, because I don't want to get the joke that is supposed to be the melee combat in GTAV show up again in GTAVI. RDR2 melee was combat was the best melee combat in any Rockstar game by far.

I think the best way to do fuel would be to do it like a sort of health system for the car, the same way food works on a player. Basically, the more external damage you take the more internal damage is caused. The car pulling to one side, transmission slipping, and eventually the car just struggling to run at all. Filling it with gas would "heal" that damage.

Car running fine without fuel would be most unrealistic thing in GTA series

 

By the way I made some quick calculations and even with realistic fuel consumption it wouldn't be any problem to have it in 6, like at all. For example, it would take at least ~15 trips from Los Santos to Paleto Bay and back to run out of fuel. Who the hell does that even?

I see no problem with a female protagonist, the part that worries me is how a Bonnie and Clyde tale will end, will they live happily?? or will they end up being shot to death in a car or somewhere else?

Still early today (hell it's still Sunday in the western parts of North America) but it means a chance of some news later that day. I'm confident we get something, just not today though. I think? There certainly will be a rise of electric cars in the game and if fuel or charging indeed will happen it's gonna be interesting. Then we also can assume we won't be able to carry unlimited weapons anymore. But I do recall that people assumed it would be the case for V.

i wouldn’t actually mind fuelling , it was ok In days gone and mad max, but it because those are post apocalyptic games it kinda became a drag.

Yeah I think they started to cover that in RDR2 with carrying weapons on your horse. Be kinda cool stashing weapons in your car or trailer.

It would be a million times better than the storage locker bullsh*t we have now. So annoying to have to go out if your way to get to one of the few locations you actually have a locker at just to adjust your loadout

Were you able to do that in the 2010 RDR already? IV came later and that didn't happen then if that was the case. Hell I still remember the talk about Niko being able to carry weapon in a bag as seen by a screenshot or artwork. Plus fingerless gloves lol

 

Maybe it's just the different approach in gameplay, more realism than GTA. Still can be the same as of now unless they really change things this time with the next GTA as seen by the leaks (if that's not just placeholders/testing stuff)
