Jeez. When are they gonna start marketing GTA VI already?? Showing us modern Vice City would be more than enough. GTA Online is getting too bland nowadays. I don't even play that much anymore even with 2x money events getting more frequent.

What big hit? You have to be extremely naive to think they don't have their reputation intact. Forums and social media don't necessarily reflect the bigger picture, and in this case, they certainly don't. It's a very myopic way of viewing things. Their fanbase is a lot larger than 2013, and social media is too, so of course the noise will be louder. If they really cared about those opinions, they wouldn't have released Trilogy DE on Steam without even a single new patch.

 

The trailer will come when they see fit (probably later this year the way things are going), and no amount of outside noise will make them change their stance. If there was ever a chance of it coming earlier, that ended with that leak. They'll make sure everything works flawlessly in that reveal trailer to nip those unfinished comments in the bud.

The irony behind them apparently losing their reputation because of "milking GTAO" or "Reselling GTAV" is that it omits that these are customers they're providing this for whether you like it or not lol

In RDR2, every area felt different. The misty and creepy swamp, the beautiful lights and shady alleys in Saint Denis, the frosty snow area that made you feel like you're the only person for miles (which was probably true).

In GTA V, everything was ... the same? I mean the map wasn't as diverse, but still when I think about Los Santos and its surrounding areas, nothing comes to mind. Even the night was pretty bright.

 

Like, I would love the Everglades to feel genuinely creepy and dark without a flashlight. That you never know what's waiting for you behind the next corner. The Vice City nightlife should be bright and loud, with at least 75% of the clubs, bars and restaurant being open. Some areas should feel really shady, so that you have to fear for your car and your life driving down there at night. 

But hey, enough of that ... one can dream, right?

I think the best thing for now is forget about the game until its announcement, if they really are going to announce it only one year before its release we may only get a announcement next year anyway, unless the game will release next year, then I can see a announcement between august and november.

RDR2 covered over 7-8 US states with many different climate zones, whereas GTAV is just based on Southern California. Of course, it wouldn't have that same diversity. GTAVI's Florida wouldn't have that same feeling since it's just one state.

 

And not discounting its art direction, a lot of RDR2's atmosphere comes from technical advancements. That game is lit and rendered in a specific way to differentiate each state while making it look immense.

 

GTAV itself had fantastic art direction regardless. That's why even 10 years later, it holds up extremely well. In fact, almost all of Rockstar's games have very solid art direction.

You know what I really hope they do? I hope that they occasionally add a lot of new tracks to the radio channels. After 8 years I still love the GTA 5 radio, but more could definitely have been added.

Eh, I disagree. You're right in spirit. But Rockstars last major announcements all came around the same time. It may appear random, and they may change due to different timing or circumstances. But there's a rhyme and a reason to when Rockstar announce titles, and why the last two came in October.

it sucks they seemed to have removed the original games from steam, but luckily I still all had them in my library. started replaying gta 3 again yesterday and it has been a lot of nostalgic fun. I played it as a little kid. couldn't even speak english whatsoever and never finished the game back then. i think i completed only a few missions and mostly f*cked around and being amazed by the 3D open world, lol
