To be honest I prefer GTAO's complete silence over whatever noises your character makes in RDO. I guess for a modern game like GTAO being completely mute makes more sense whereas in RDO you could still argue that your character never got taught how to speak - which would be much harder to argue for in the case of a character in GTAO.

I agree, RDO characters make odd noises, I think GTAO2 can do better

Id rather they be silent or limited to just noises, everyones character would have to sound generic and the idea of the online character is we make up the personality

As for that Launcher update, it was nothing much except some overhauls to the way it works when it's offline/when you don't have an internet connection - these changes had been done on the remote side a couple weeks ago but the client update dropped today. The RDR2/RDO patch fixed a bug with stables that could softlock your game, and according to Tez may have had some security fixes too.

I try to take a break from this topic and I come back to madness now, it's coming to a point where if some of "you" (collective) keep this sh*t up too much, "you're" getting timeouts, we aren't a lowly garbage edgy subreddit. GTAO still has lobbywide audio chat, but RDO has proximity chat, I think. So, they could go with either option with VI.

I think it was reported somewhere Rockstar were experimenting with RP elements for GTAO2, I think? If so, I can see proximity chat 100% happening. Lobbywide audio chat seems to be a little outdated in open world games nowadays.
