I find it amusing when people complain about crunch time, but they also bitch and moan when the game developers take their time to develop a game.

I don't know about the rest of the good folk on this sub, but if r* just drops a trailer and a few screenshots every 6 months, I'll be happy to wait for another 2-3 years.

I agree, I would be fine with them taking all the time they needed if they at least gave some information about the game in the meantime. But saying absolutely nothing for years, while one game has a completely abandoned online mode and the other one is full of drip feed and nothing refreshing to do besides driving a taxi, is what makes this nerve racking for a lot of people lol

Both of you are saying this now when in this thread itself just a few days ago people complained about games being announced years ahead of their release dates.

Well yes, It's very common for games to be announced and even released before their 10 year anniversaries.

On a serious note, if you're asking whether the anniversary has any impact on their schedules, I would say no, if anything, the last few months have proven that Rockstar cares so little about anniversaries. Other than that, Rockstar's announcements are usually done around the October/November period, so if that's anything to go by, then no, they won't announce it before the anniversary.

 

Of course Rockstar's can do thing differently, so who knows.

Hell, i'd be happy with just the occasional screenshot here and there, creating a perfect vertical slice for a trailer can chew up a lot of resources so i don't really care if we only get 1-2 of them and it's much closer to the actual release.

I think it's pretty much impossible. You'd have to hire voice actors for every update, every cutscene and then keep them around for 10+ years.

 

If we're only talking "small talk", like with a cashier, a cop (if we can get arrested and not be instantly vaporized like now) or whatever, then I think it's possible.

Like some have said, pretty impossible to do this well.

Would be cool if our characters could make noises (grunting and stuff) like RDO. The gag with our characters being mute, and all the quips that come with it are funny though.

The only way of this maybe working is going Saints Row 3 route with multiple voices that have actual unique dialogue. Too much work to be honest when people are fine with being mute psychos
