Yea it makes sense imo. If you, as an analyst getting paid by a gigabank, want to keep your job, you'd probably not want to waste your brief interaction with T2 execs during the call on a question that you already know the answer to.

I mean, investors will be asking about that stuff when it's actually announced and the money actually starts flowing I'd assume so... At this moment the most profitable stuff is the live service games and mobile so they'll focus on that.

As I said before, dunno why people keep expecting a bunch of corpo suits in a call to talk about GTA VI before the actual developer  Also there's no confirmation it'll be ONLY about mobile (the actual news release), I have zero clue where he got that from, it'll be a conference like any other where everything will be mentioned - including mobile - and no GTA VI... obviously. lmao

 

Quarterly conferences don't focus on just one subject, it's a summary of the quarter and forecasts.

 

Not like it matters anyway, no GTA VI will be there just like there was no GTA V - people kept expecting the same in 2011

I’m so so happy Teapotuberhacker leaked those VI footages because all this waiting is just getting silly now. Without those vids we would literally know NOTHING at all about the game.

I'm on the fence about it. I feel bad for any of the developers who've been working long weeks on it and were excited to see the world's reaction to their work, just for some dumbasses on Twitter (and even some on GTAF) judging the footage like it's not pre-alpha/test footage. 

 

But at the same time, seeing the footage, the environment, some cool features they already have implemented. I'm super excited to see the final product.

speaking RDO only, no idea what happened to GTAO in the last 3 years or so, R* was totally out of touch with the community. and there were many MANY missed opportunities in terms of content/updates!

Not on the development, yeah. Marketing is a different story I think. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the first trailer plays out. If it shows a little more than usual I think it means they changed their original plans.

They really don't have a reason to delay the game though. Most we got from the leak was the protags and their name, plus some locations. I doubt they're gonna change either of those details so there's no reason to delay any development.

So you think they'll reboot its development because some kid leaked some pretty basic stuff on the internet? Other than fixing the obvious security breaches that allowed such thing to happen, GTA 6's development keeps going just the same.

Gameplay leak definitely impact marketing and it might have done that already.. imagine if everything was fine and the game didn’t leak the way it did, we might’ve gotten an official reveal last year in October 🫠
