I personally think it will get to a point in the story where Lucia and Jason start putting hits out on each other.

I'm betting R* will go the route they did with IV, in which both of the protagonists will survive the events of the story but at the cost of losing someone important to them or something

Remember that if RDR3 is the next game after GTA 6, then GTA 7's development will only start once Rockstar finishes RDR3's development, better enjoy the f*ck outta both of them.

 

The Elder Scrolls VI is still in early stages of development? Damn... I never played Skyrim before though, I'm seriously thinking about it.

I just want to personally thank Tom Henderson for pushing back the announcement back until at least January 2024 now. 

Jokes aside. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary if Rockstar officially say to "look out for more information later this year" (2023) regarding the next GTA.

they did that in february and we didnt get sh*t from them

I think it's funny how we went from GTAV which makes it very hard to earn money outside of of heist missions, to RDR2 where you can easily get hundreds of dollars within the first few hours of the game by f*cking around to the point where Dutch sounds like an idiot for saying that the gang needs more money to disappear when Arthur is casually carrying thousands of dollars in his satchel.

i dont know why they even announced it 4 years ago..what a dumb move. And judging from their silence with Starfield i bet its gonna be a heap of garbage unfortunately. But they did it to themselves by stubbornly holding onto that sh*tty ass creation engine

What? Bethesda was always silent with their games
It's always been like that, concept arts, cgi teasers and gameplay trailer. They already did everything they are doing in their usual loop.
It's just that they delayed the game (Most likely because of Microsoft either reducing crunch or giving them more time to fix bugs). Also Todds mouth never shuts up about this game, Bethesda released at least 3 videos talking about Starfield after the gameplay trailer was shown to the public.

no not really. Bethesdas norm is usually announcement around 6 month from targeted release like they did with fallout 4

and talking about the game and showing it are 2 completely different things. I really hope starfield turns out good though and im glad theyre taking extra time but it still baffles me how theyre gonna be releasing the next elderscrolls game on the creation engine later this decade. Its insanely stupid

I'd argue both GTAV and RDR2's economies fit their respective narratives very well.

 

 

For RDR2, it clearly showed that no matter what the gang did, they were still going down the drain. It showed Dutch would've never done the obvious, which required him to see beyond his own shortsightedness, ego, pettiness, or however you want to put it. It hits home when nobody replaces the tithing box in Beaver Hollow. No donations. No ledger. No upgrades. At that point, everybody basically gave up on the future. It works very well, especially as the game is a prequel.

Still, most players would end up with no more than $5-6k in the main campaign anyway, unless they were actively hoarding cash when the gang's Blackwater take was $150k, and the economy in RDR2 isn't necessarily a 1:1 reflection of 1899 all the time.

 

In GTAV's case, the real way to make money was to manipulate the stock market. It's no coincidence, for sure. That's pretty much what Michael tells Franklin explicitly in the mission Father/Son. Fits right at home in a game that's set in a canny, darkly comic, and sometimes grotesque parody of modern L.A.

 

GTAIV actually had the worst economy of any Rockstar game. Three Leaf Clover completely messed up the economy beyond recovery since there was f*ck all to spend money on. There should've been actual ways to spend money in that game: on properties, investments, cars, and what not. Also, paying off Roman's debt mechanically (like it worked in SA), which would've kept the player's pocket light, would've worked infinitely better for the sake of the narrative.

"It's just that they delayed the game" - Literally quoting my own thing, they already shown what they are always showing, so now, when theres a delay theres nothing during that delay. All they wanted to show was already shown, want to remind you that the trailer still has 2022 or 2023, don't remember, but still, it was their usual trailer that was reserved for 2022 release, it's non different from Skyrim or Fallout gameplay.

Theres simply no need of making any new trailer, they literally made a trailer that is 15 minutes long and speaks about all major things there are to know about game. What you want them to make now? 1 hour gameplay explaining every tiniest feature of the game? Most game devs just publish few nice shots of their game, some action scene and you don't know anything about the game besides that. Don't exepect anything from them until they have firm release date. (they only need to announce release date at this point)

 

Anyways...

I wish Rockstar shown us at least a logo this year but I guess it's over for now and we are only waiting for full teaser/trailer, let's hope that they will be more communicative with promotional materials after first trailer rolls out, I can't imagine trailer and then nothing, not even few words on newswire for 1 year until game releases or second trailer releases. (depends how deep in ass we are with possible problems with development)
