R* and Take-Two know this will be the biggest game probably ever, and they cant fu*k this up. 

Also, I really think we didn't see a proper reveal because of that leak. It's either February or May next year, the reason why these months are because Take-Two wants to satisfy their investors on time.

I do feel like they could pull a GTA V again and just not say any dates or time frames with the first announcement though. Probably for the best, although I'm sure that'd cause some spicy fearmongering about the game releasing in 2030 or something

Not sure what to think in regards to the leaks having affected announcement dates - possibly, perhaps very likely - but the announcement strategy for sure. A (3D) female protagonist for the first time in the series was probably going to be part of their bombshell reveal (the Schreier article was still considered a rumour anyway) and the leaks have now spoiled who the protagonists are. We don't have their story, just their names and looks - but we know that now, so it's not a surprise anymore that it's two protagonists, one male one female, and their names.

As for location, Vice City was predicted by like 99% of the fanbase so that having leaked is probably meaningless honestly  We've only seen a small fraction of the map and a few repeat locations anyway.

 

All things considered though they can still use the protagonists as an announcement advertisement point, perhaps talking more about their stories and such, and of course the typical action-packed trailer with hints of what the game story will be, showing pretty locations and so on.

I am still under the impression that the "Mambas '24" we reffering to a release date (perhaps an announcement date).

Could very well be an inside joke for the projected release date at the time they made the livery I suppose, or maybe a dev's personal thoughts  Vague enough that it could be a release date joke, a random number or something else.

Don't know what leaks you were watching, the game looked pretty polished in many of them. Much more polished than GTA V in the first reveal trailer

except the first trailer npc character models for gta v compared to release were much better, idk if it was cg trailer but yee gta vi look really well even if its npcs were still dummies in most clips, their animations were too realistic.

like that dude checking out Lucia or when the group were talking outside the nightclub notice their animations

Speaking of Athletes. BJ Smith was a player for the Vice City Mambas and he exists in the HD universe too. it would be a pretty cool easter egg if we can purchase his Jersey. I wonder if he was number #24...

Honestly could've just been homage to Kobe considering Mamba was used a lot in his brand (Shoes, books etc.) and 24 was his legendary jersey. Maybe, maybe not but honestly everything with GTA VI speculation has been some weird coincidence lol

The 24 you might be right about (as I said it could be anything), but the Vice City Mambas exist in the GTA universe for a long time, and they, along with the (new) snake logo that is in the livery, were seen in the leaks. Same exact logo up on the stadium. It's a GTA VI related livery either way, that's for sure.

 

It's most likely the reason why it's not unlocked yet too.

Not everyone is that interested in the topic to go through ton of texts and shared or leaked videos from game development but if you are at least a bit interested in a topic you probably heard about the shared initiative of Game Devs where various game developers shared their development footage to shut Twitter 'people' bitching about looks of GTA VI. And those footage kind of explains what would be wall of text in just few seconds of twitter clip.

Of course, those were way smaller games, you can't compare Uncharted, God of War or Horizon to GTA or Red Dead but when you consider that some of these clips were made 1 year or half year before game release you actually come to realization that GTA VI is pretty complete already.

Some other people like Spider-Vice also explained few other things to you so I am not making this text longer.

Still hope Liberty City appears whether it’s just one random mission, like a small contained heist surrounded by cops barricades or clips from the in game TV shows. Will help to balance all that beautiful sunny weather with some gloomy overcast snowfall and all know Rockstar believes, weather = magic.

 

god I hope GTA VI trailer doesn’t mention the weather.

The city is a f*cking sh*thole, everyone is poor, there are destroyed cars on fire on the sidewalks, there are hostile rioters in many districts, everything is vandalized. Game is very immoral and distubring. sh*t needs to make you more miserable than The Last of Us Part II

Carcer City is based on which city? We could have Detroit, Carcer and Chicago

3 cities, entire states maybe that connect with gta vi online
